All the central district of Odessa is full of restaurants, so you will definitely not die of hunger. The most popular fansy night clubs, like Ibiza or Itaka, are situated at the sea side, on the beaches.
My favourite place in Odessa is a Marine Terminal (Morskoi Vokzal), right at the bottom of Potyomkinskaya stairs. You can take a walk in the evening to admire the sunset and to take a look at the huge ships loaded with different stuff, and also to take a short sea sing on the cutter around the bay.
All in all, it's a very nice place to visit, so you won't regret it!
