I just got 9 week mini poodle a few days back!
Biggest thing is a schedule, Daisy Mae eats at the same time every day, and is crated when we aren't home and at night.
I have noticed that food and water goes in.. within 10-15 minutes something has to come out.
I have introduced the brush to her as well, start small... a few moments here and there... but be consistent and frequent.
Socialize as much as possible without risking illness, other dogs that have been vaccinated, small children (with a watchful eye), and car rides.
Most of all patience... Be prepared for the middle of the night pee breaks... and accidents in the house too...

a good tip for housebreaking.... is never rubb our puppies nose in its mess that made. That is just plain wrong! A good tip that worked for potty training my dogs was i went out and bought pad/little mats. If they poop put they poop on its pad then move them pad closer and closer to the door each day. You may need a doggie door so your dog doesnt have to hold it in. I hope Those tips helped you and good luck!
congrats on your new puppy, my friend has one and they are absolutely adorable. kennel training is training them to go to a kennel for like, time out, and teaching them not to poddy in their kennel, kennel training them is great because it allows them to have there own space to go to for like when you have company over or some thing, and for when your not home, it's a guaranteed way to keep him from chewing on every thing, or peeing everywhere, if you search on yahoo for, ';how to crate train'; it will give you great tips and, the best treats to use while your training him are liver treats just don't use them for anything else, another lil' piece of advice, train him while he's young and be very persistent, and keep the commands down to one or two words ( up, down, roll, sit, stay, lay down, come, etc.), oh yeah and good luck!
Puggles are great dogs and while they are not the brightest crayon in the box the dog make great family dogs. The easiest way to potty train a dog is to bring it outside when it starts to circle. when it goes potty give it lots of praise but don't scold it if ti goes potty inside dogs learn from repetition and situation so just repeat this process a doggy door helps and crate training is just getting a dog used to its crate
You should never buy anything you don't no nothing about. As Molly Hatchet says, ';Your flirtin with disaster';.
to potty train: take your puppy out every 2 hours or so to get him/her used to going to the bathroom outside. By doing this, your puppy will know that they shouldn't go inside unless you want them to. If they make an accident, don't clean it when they're around. If you do that then they think it was a good thing. But first, take your puppy to the accident, and tell them firmly that they did a bad thing. This will reduce the number of accidents that he/she makes in your home.
kennel: When your puppy is in their crate, don't take them out if they start to cry. If you do, then they'll learn to cry everytime you put them in and won't get trained. don't keep your puppy in the crate for too long though.
First off, enroll your dog in puppy classes. These are going to be the most helpful for you over the next few months. For potty training, keep it consistent. Take the dog out every hour, take the dog out the same way every time and to the same part of the yard. For kennel training, I would suggest that you go to PetsMart and get their video on crate training. It's one of the best ones that I have seen. Past that, you're going to need to get the dog vaccinated every three weeks. And then rabies at about 5 months. Then spay/neuter at around 6 mos. Good luck!

try this site, it has some realy good advise. Kennel training, I believe you mean ';crate training';, is very helpfull with diciplining your dog and just giving him a nice place to call his own to ';chill out';, this would be a must if he his a house dog. It is a lot of work, but trust me it is worth it, and don't give up, you will be glad of all of the hard work that you put into your pup at the end, I would also suggest puppy school if it is avaliable where you are.....much help! It will also help enourmously with socilazation!
