I recently saw a doctor who said if i lost anymore weight id be hospitilised and I have really bad skin complexion etc so need to eat healthy and do some exercise.

What kind of stuff can a (poor) person get to eat healthy and maintain a low body weight and some exercises to tone up??

How are you preparing for Ramadan Insha'Allah? Any wise advice and tips to share?

Consider it is possible that it could be your last ramadan. Consider your sins and disobediences to Allaah azza wajall. Consider being grateful to him as best as you can.

Also cut out the time-wasting, and for many, this Answers Ramadan seems to be just that.

Actually, I would recommend the brothers/sisters to purchase a book of fiqh of Ramadan and fasting or get a free one online that is good (authentic) and learn the fiqh (~rulings, etc) of fasting and the acts of worship you can do in ramadan. Also, set yourself some goals to try to achieve during ramadan in terms of seeking knowledge and worship and helping others, eg, family and relatives to understand the correct meaning of ramadan and islam generally and whatever they need help in.....

And Allaah knows bestHow are you preparing for Ramadan Insha'Allah? Any wise advice and tips to share?
I want to do some practice fasts before Ramadan InshaAllah to get into the spirit of things. Also am trying to recite more of The Quran every day, hopefully finish it all by the end of Ramadan InshaAllah.

(sorry I didn't reply to your text sis, my phone's gone a bit weird)

~XXX~How are you preparing for Ramadan Insha'Allah? Any wise advice and tips to share?
Yes,when Ramadan come i'm leaving Y!A for a week.

EDIT:

Except for the first day, this shall be my first time in Ramadan section during Ramadan.I heard when Ramadan came everything was peace and everybody was cool.I want to see that with my own eyes.
there was a lady from ni*er who smiled as she rode the back of a tiger

they came back from the ride with the lady inside and the smile on the face of the tiger....

Insha Allah lets try to fast all the days of ramadan!
Fresh dates Ninja, had them in Iraq when i fasted with the Iraqi soldiers (i am a christian [sort of]) but if you never had them you have never lived
Avoid racist Arabs

Hitting them might be a sin

then again it might be a hasanat
Don't eat Za'tar (Thyme) , or you will be very thirsty the next day.....
Enjoy your fasts...

And perhaps do the Fajr adhan in the house.....

Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to overcome social anziety?

itr affects every area of my life, at college, at home, with friends with family, at work, even things like going to the hairdressers cause me a lot of social anxiety, ive got an appointment booked at the doctors next tuesday for depression and i am already nervous about it, can anyone give me any advice to help or overcome social anxiety?Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to overcome social anziety?
This is a modern issue, and we all get it. Many conceal it well, but al of us are annoyed by the crowding that our world burdens us with.

Aside from getting rid of a few people, little can be done. But try relaxation and a smile, it soon distracts the mind. You may have a thyroid issue here too, talk to your medical GP. Tranquilisers ARE NOT an answer!Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to overcome social anziety?
this guide may be can help you http://mamsam.beatdep64.hop.clickbank.ne鈥?/a>
the doctor will probably try and give you pills or something but i would avoid them if you can. I suffer with the same problem and i force myself to go out with friends, new people, activities at the gym and i have even got a new job.. i find it helps increase my confidence and i become more comfortable and less anxious about stuff. So battle through and be strong. Try not to even think about your anxiety because that attention is what makes it worse. Good luck
Deep breathes, positive reinforcement work for me. Try not to avoid the things/situations that make you feel anxious, as this will make things worse over time.

Try and work out what negative outcome you are expecting from a particular situation, this will be at the root of your anxiety.

Then, if you challenge the situations that make you feel anxious, tackle them head on, you will quickly realise that the negative outcome(s) you where expecting don't materialise, this will dramatically improve your anxiety over time. Positive reinforcement!

I would also recommend you see a counsellor to work through the issues that caused the anxiety in the first place.

Hope it goes well.
Have a few drinks.
Spend about 30 minutes quietly alone each day when you can close your eyes and relax undisturbed. Start thinking about a time when you felt really good. Picture it vividly in your head. Concentrate on the feelings of contentment and relaxation you had at the time. Then imagine yourself in a situation in public but instead of thinking you will be anxious, concentrate on the good feelings you have and picture yourself being relaxed and enjoying being wherever you are. See how people react positively to you being there and concentrate on how relaxed and confident that makes you feel. Feel the relaxation in your body as you concentrate on how happy you are to be wherever it is.

I did this and after a couple of weeks I started to think more positively and really noticed a difference.
Ive had this for years

The way I overcome it is to be as different as possible, I adopt different characters and accents that I hide behind, I try to be as amusing as possible(this doesnt always work) I try to remember things as topics for conversation as otherwise I go blank.

This quote helped me-

';Confidence is just a big trick everyone is playing on each other';

So just play the game

Another thing that helped me is a teacher I had who said to me once

';No one cares, no one really gives a $hit';, so whatever happens in this one small moment will be infinitely forgotten. So Sod IT, who cares-be silly, express yourself, do whatever it takes, be yourself, dont be yourself, no one cares!
I suffer from generalized social anxiety myself, and have found several coping mechanisms to help.

My most effective, yet offbeat mechanism, is to assign myself a role to play for something. As if I was an actor, I can then redirect my anxiety towards how well I play the role vs. what I'm actually doing. Another is to truly acknowledge to yourself that whatever the worst that can happen is, that it is not really all that bad. Also going and doing things with people, like a boyfriend/girlfriend etc helps. I never could figure out what type of haircut I liked, so I made a deal with the wife that I choose her hair cut, and she chooses mine. Since I'm giving up control over something to gain control over something else, it was a decision that helped me overcome anxiety. If she doesn't like how my hair looks, then it's her fault, not mine :)
weather this will help you or not I don't know.

I was incredible shy when i was at school and was out cast because of it.

when i left school I did performing arts and although at the time I thought OH my god what have I done it Was the best thing that could have possible happened to me! I had to do so many things I never wanted to do like stair in to peoples eyes, touch people and make things up on the spot. I'm not saying change your course but you could try joining a drama grope scary thought I know but try it if you can do that you can cope with any social event. avoid drugs they just stop you from coping naturally

overcoming social anxiety and shyness Gillian butler
You have had some great answers on here and I would say that Zed has summed it up in a nut shell. Most of us experience social anxiety at some stage - sometimes, it is simply a lack of confidence, a fear or losing control and just plain old nerves!. I really understand how you feel - I have experienced this. I find that cutting out all cafeen has helped and as others have suggested, visualising yourself in a crowd being the confident person you want to be. Tell yourself, what is the worst thing that can happen to you? - the answer is nothing is going to happen to you - if you need to take five minutes out for recompose yourself, you can always do that almost anywhere - including the hairdressers. When you have to go somewhere like the hairdressers think about the positive things your visit will achieve like - your new haircut! Please stop worrying - you are normal - did you know that anxiety is so common at the hairdressers that hairdressers are actually trained in how to deal with it - the reason you feel like this in certain situations is that you are out of control - you have to sit there for an hour or so and your hair is in their hands so to speak!. I would urge you NOT to take anti-depressents which is probably what the doctor may prescribe - it's a short term solution that will give you other side affects - face your fears head on - accept that you will have more confident days than others. Rather than take medication ask your doc for a referral to a Congnitive behavioural specialist (CBT) - they will teach you to re-programme your mind to look at things with a different perspective. Good luck and don't forget, you are not alone - this affects girls, boys men and women of all ages!

I would like to shave for the first time, how do i do it correct and any tips, advice, suggestions?

Its going to be my first time i would like some help thx

PS I have alot of hair!!!

;-)I would like to shave for the first time, how do i do it correct and any tips, advice, suggestions?
Lather up heaps with soap or shaving cream and shave directly from the bottom to just below your knee. Don't shave sidewards or you might get cut and avoid knees or foot bones. If you're quite hairy, then you may need to do it once, then lather up and do it again :)

Its easiest to do it in the shower and you dont need to clean up.

And each time you do one long stroke, wash the razor under water otherwise it will get too clogged up and not shave anymore.

    Hope this helps!

I would like to shave for the first time, how do i do it correct and any tips, advice, suggestions?
Buy a trimmer and trim it as close as possible. Also when you do shave always use a brand exotic razor. Don't use soap! Use any hair conditioner or Alveeno Shaving cream. Also pick up an after shave lotion. I use Victoria's Secret! I have really senitive skin so I return with razor burn adjectives the time. I can't shave it every day...start out slow. Use the blade over the area once and hang around 2 days....then do it again.

You can use the bathtub and then shower off.
    Trim only to shorten it.
go and ask the barber....he ll surely teach you...
depends what you want to shave!

Hey i need two seconds off my 50m Freestyle time in 10 months to qualify anyone got any advice, training tips?

I really want to qualify for national level end of the next season that is in 10 months! im currently swimming 26 but need a 24 anyone got some advice expecially with kicking at training i'm always a mile behind when we do kicking?Hey i need two seconds off my 50m Freestyle time in 10 months to qualify anyone got any advice, training tips?
My first recommendation is to swim with people who are faster than you. Each time that I have moved to another training group or when I moved from high school to college swimming, I swam with faster people who pushed me to get faster!

One very important thing in the 50m free is breath control. Almost every guy I personally know that is going 22 seconds to 24 seconds in 50m LC are taking NO MORE than 2 breaths. A lot of these guys restrict it to 0 or 1 breath.

Kicking is absolutely essential too. Kicking with fins will definitely improve your kicking strength. Work underwater dolphin, as this is crucial on your start! If necessary stay after practice and do a set of say 5x100s kick 2 extra a week on the fastest interval you can hold. Try to drop the interval a little bit each week. Kick all out on the last of the 5x100s one of the days -- on the other day try kicking all out on the last 25 of each of the 5x100s. If you want more ideas for kicking sets, just message me, I have many sets!

Weightlifting is also a HUGE part of sprinting. I weight lift 3-4x per week throughout the season. Look at any 50 or 100m freestyle sprinter and their bodies are huge. Muscle strength is key. Even more important is transferring your strength to the pool by focusing on drills.

Hope this helps, let me know you have any other questions.Hey i need two seconds off my 50m Freestyle time in 10 months to qualify anyone got any advice, training tips?
I'm sure you've heard this before.. but what does your coach have to say?

My son who is 14 is working hard to qualify for Jr. Nationals this summer and his coach is always on him. Whether it's his entry, flip turn, heads too high up, kicks aren't coming from his hips, rotation is off and so forth.

Your weak kick may be one component, but there is so much more to swimming at this high level. Really work with your coach, with goals for next year. The mental game is also just as important as the physical, this is also another subject your coach should be working with you. Your coach should be setting up your drills, not a stranger who can't see your technique - strengths or weaknesses.

My son, prior to his current coach had a horrible past club coach who didn't know what she was doing and now that we have an experienced coach we can see the difference in our son.

So work with your club team, and if you think they aren't helping you, perhaps it's time to find another team.
you should keep doing it over and over until you get it.

~don't give yourself a break until you reach your goal.

~ if you make this a habit, then the seconds will disappear.

~also you can try a drag suit, and try and get your normal time so when you take off the drag suit you feel a lot faster in the water and you will go faster.
Well im not as fast as u

    buttt

i can tell u one thing

    i am an excellent coach,

now drills to help your breathing would be probs

    100m free(6breaths)

    200m free (8breaths

    kicking-

    simply kicking 1km with fins

    500m withought fins

I need help/advice/tips about moving to a new state.?

My boyfriend is moving from California to Oregon so we can live together. Is there anything he must do before he leaves? When he gets here what does he have to do before getting a job? Do you have to be a citizen of the state to work/pay taxes in it? Any other general advice would be greatly appreciated.I need help/advice/tips about moving to a new state.?
I am not clear about your question. If he is an American citizen, he doesn't need permission to move anywhere he chooses.

In the United States, anyone may move anywhere from one state to another, to live, work, pay taxes, as you say. Nothing is required except to move.

The only exception is if a person is under some legal restriction to travel (on probation or parole; under some court order, or out on bail for some offense.) As long as he is an adult (over 18) , there should be no problem.

To change residency, he merely establishes his domicile (home) in the new state. He may have to apply for a new driver's license, re-register his automobile, file a proof of insurance for auto liability, file change-of-address foms with the post office to get his mail forwarded to his new home, that sort of thing. He does not need to be a permanent resident of that state to get a job.He will keep the same social security number, and will report his income to the new state (assuming that state has a state income tax . Both California and Oregon have a state personal income tax).

He obviously has to file change of address with credit cards, etc. He may have to prove he has a job to get an apartment. At the least , he must be able to afford a rental deposit and probably a security deposit to get a place to live. Once he has an address, he can apply for savings or checking accounts with a bank, get new checks, establish his credit, etc. He may have to provide some credit reference to get utilities such as gas %26amp; electricity and water, telephone, cable TV, etc. .

Most states require a person must be a resident of the state for a short period to register to vote in that state (usually thirty days at a minimum.) Then he can register to vote as a citizen in that state, county and city elections, and he is officially a citizen of Oregon. If he registers to vote in Oregon the registrar automatically sends a note to California to cancel his registration as a voter back in California. When he applies for a new Oregon driver's license, he has to turn in his old California license; same with auto registration for new Oregon license plates. He has to notify his auto insurance company of the change to Oregon as well.

Since he is a male over 18, some people forget that he must file a change of address form with the US Selective Service when he changes his address, even though we do not have a draft at this time. He gets the change of address form at the post office.

For anyone who's taken the Red Cross lifeguarding test, how hard was it? Any specific advice or tips?

I'm ever-so-slightly (5 pounds) overweight. I'm working on swim training to get into shape. I can swim a 300 continuously, but I'm worried about the weight retrieval. For those who have taken it, was it hard? Is there anything I should know? Any advice is great. Thanks! For anyone who's taken the Red Cross lifeguarding test, how hard was it? Any specific advice or tips?
I think you need to swim 450 yds to pass, as well as learning all of the new strokes. You are going to need to increase your training. The hardest thing is going first when retrieving the victim. I went first and the victim suddenly found a lot of energy and struggled a lot. The victim had tired herself out for the people who went later. Moral: don't go first, go last if you can.For anyone who's taken the Red Cross lifeguarding test, how hard was it? Any specific advice or tips?
    its not very hard.

for me, i needed to swim a 1000 in 20 minutes (2 minutes per hundred)

tread a 10 pound brick for 2 minutes, and do cpr, and a spinal rescue, deepwater and shallowwater a passive rescue and an active rescue.

    you just need to tread.

    thats all it is.

the testers usually sont set there standards very high, so almost everyone passes.

    you've got nothing to worry.

  • I'm a Christian Diabetic who wants to go on a fast. Do you have any advice or tips?

I have type 2, insulin resistant diabetes, and I want to fast. I know that I'm supposed to consult with my physician first, and I will. I just wanted to know if anyone here has fasted as a diabetic (Christian preferably), and if you have any advice and/or tips on how you did it safely.I'm a Christian Diabetic who wants to go on a fast. Do you have any advice or tips?
Fasting is not a very good idea. First, it won't help the diabetes, and second, it'll only make you miserable.

I prefer to eat my way out being insulin resistant. That is, if you eat the right foods, your insulin resistance will drop or even vanish. Sounds to good to be true, right? Consider this, my Christian friend... if you ate the foods that God intended for us to eat, you wouldn't have become diabetic. Consider this, as well... once I started eating nothing but natural foods, my blood glucose dropped right along with my insulin resistance... considerably so. Enough to where I could quit taking Metformin last December. Read my profile for lots more.I'm a Christian Diabetic who wants to go on a fast. Do you have any advice or tips?
Do whatever your physician says, there are many factors involved so anyone other than your doctor isn't qualified to give advice.

Also, fasting doesn't have to be from food...you could find something else to abstain from in order to focus on God (i.e. television, internet, etc.)
sorry im muslim but i have a lot of diabetics in my family and when its time for us to fast, they take there pill right before they cant eat anymore.if your gonna go on a full fast, then as soon as you get shaky chew some gum with sugar,if your gonna drink water then make sure you have 8 glasses a day so your not dehydrated and itll keep your sugar low or ok! hope i helped:]
I am a Muslim Type 1 diabetic and I am not allowed to fast at all. Being a Type 2 makes it a bit easier but you really need guidance from your diabetes educator and/or a nutritionist before you attempt to fast.
If you fast, you will crash. Sever hypoglycemia is extremely unpleasant, and probably life-threatening. Perform the works of mercy instead.
I don't think fasting is good for eith type of Diabetic. How long are you fasting for....Check with your doctor before doing this please.

Does anyone have any advice or tips for basic training?

I will be leaving for air force basic training in just a few days, and i was wondering whether anybody had any tips or things that would be good to know ahead of timeDoes anyone have any advice or tips for basic training?
do everything with enegry, and show pride, speak loud and clear, and never look in the DS/DI's eyes, cause you'll be eye ballin them lol, dont do it.. dont bring in contraband, such as candy or soda.. dont show fear.. i dont know much about the air force, but thats the marines, just try not to stick out, then the DI will target you. learn the ranks, who and who not to salute.. if they give you any kinda study books, read them, memorize them. it really helps. dont speak unless spoken too, dont move, sneeeze or nothing in formation. be ready and prepared for the next day, be organzied with your clothes and rack. if you get the chance to eat rice.. eat rice, it expands in your stomache and makes you feel full. hydrate, and drink water as much as you can. take notes in class, lots and lots of them, and study them, the classes have alot of info. and not alot of time. dont sleep in class. do not call the m16a2 a gun.. its a rifle. DO NOT say thank you, or sorry to a DI. do not put your hands in pockets, or crossed. keep them by your side. dont lie on your bed unless your told too. DO NOT call a DI maam or sir. also do not show your palm while saluting, its an insult and shows giving up..

this is alot of info lol i hope it helps and good luckDoes anyone have any advice or tips for basic training?
Always strive to do better than the best of your buddies. Not less or as good as. That's what sarge wants out of every one
Keep your mouth and legs shut, do everything you're told to do with speed and intensity, even if it ain't Marine boot.
Make sure you do as you're told. Listen carefully and follow instructions. Have a positive, can-do attitude. Don't allow yourself to wallow in pity if you made a mistake or had a bad day. Do research before you leave to find out about what to expect, and watch videos on YouTube. Do not cry, and do not complain. Know that the first 2 weeks are the hardest, and they will not be fun, but once you hit week 3, things get easier.

The TIs are not obligated to let you write home or call home, so don't do anything to make them angry, and take advantage of any time you can to write.

Go to church services on Sunday, even if you're not religious. It's a great break from the day-to-day of BMT, and no one yells at you. You get to be inside in the air conditioning connecting with your fellow trainees. If possible, volunteer for the Chapel Guide position. You will have a lot of free time on Sundays. You will have to do a lot of marching, since you accompany younger flights to and from church services, but you get plenty of break time, you get to eat at your own pace, and you can attend as many church services as you want.

If you play an instrument, volunteer for the band flight.

Bring lots of envelopes and stamps, and make sure your family and friends know that they should write to you as often as possible.

Be prepared to get very little sleep, and don't take anything personally. The TIs are not attacking you. They are just doing their jobs. They will yell at everyone.

Pay takes a couple of weeks to kick in and get deposited properly, so make sure you have enough before you leave. Make sure someone at home is paying any bills you have--you will not be able to pay any bills from Lackland.

You cannot keep your cell phone with you, but you may get it back when you are given patio breaks or base liberty.

Don't ever lie to your TI, and don't make stupid mistakes.

Also, for graduation, make sure you have the name, date of birth, and driver's license number of all family and friends who want to attend. You will be asked to provide this information during your 3rd or 4th week of BMT. All graduation attendees must pass a criminal background check and be cleared before they will be allowed on base.

Am considering a midlife career change - anyone else out there having done so with tips/advice?

I would wait for better economic times to experiment. Recruiters in general are not very open minded with people who are switching careers. They tend to focus on the negative ';Why don't you want to keep doing what you're doing?';. At least when there are more jobs, you get more cracks at it.Am considering a midlife career change - anyone else out there having done so with tips/advice?
I changed careers at age 40 and am glad that I did. I now work at home doing medical transcription. I make great money and have job stability. Before, I was a hairdresser. I did enjoy doing hair but due to health reasons I had to find a job at home. I wasn't expecting to earn as much as I do. I've been pleasantly surprised! : ) Best wishes to you!Am considering a midlife career change - anyone else out there having done so with tips/advice?
Read the book that changed my life. ';What Color is your Parachute'; by Bolles. Make sure you do the exercises in the back.
Yes - research, research, research. And talk to any recruiter or person with a lead.

I went through the same thing about two years ago. Felt unfulfilled working at huge companies (being a mid-sized cog in a big machine).

I THOUGHT I wanted to change careers. I explored many avenues. In reality I just wanted to work for a smaller company.

    Good luck!
I did. I used to work oilfield and decided I wanted a change. I wanted a job that paid good, I could dress casual, got treated good, and didn't have to work in a cubicle all day. I went to school for 12 weeks at a vo-tech and came out a truck driver. I drive tanker trucks. The pay is good, no one hassles you, and you can dress casual and don't have a boss hounding you.
I did, I hated my construction job and came across a great work from home business that was for real. I'm doing good and love it.

I did Pysch %26amp; Further a couple of years ago, and I found the flash cards you can buy really helpful. I can't remember what brand they were, but wherever you get your school text books from, that's where they were from. Study guides are also good.

English is too hard to give advice on, your teacher is the best help for this subject because in english there is no right or wrong answer.

Also with math %26amp; psych, use the unit guides (or whatever they're called) that you can download from the internet, or that your teacher has provided you with already. they have the dot points on what each outcome consists of, and what you can be tested on.

Download the past exams, and test yourself at home to see how you go.

Best of luckDoes anyone have tips/advice for the following VCE subjects: PE, Psychology, Drama, English and math furter?
    I believe you were looking for the possessive ';their'; rather than ';there'; when you said ';...people have found useful in %26lt;there%26gt; studies...';

Check out wikipedia.com for help with study questions. Otherwise google for forums. The bet advise, however, would be to invest in good text books. I cannot advise on a particular book because the question is too vague.

    Good luck.

One of the little know tricks to lose some extra weight is to brush your teeth!

When you brush your teeth after a meal or snack, you send a signal to your body that you are finished eating. Therefore, if you are practicing portion control and are having a hard time, go brush your teeth instead.

In addition to signaling an end to your meal, brushing your teeth pretty much everything else tastes bad. This will give your body time to register the food it has eaten, helping you feel satiated and full.

So, when you get a sweet tooth or feel like something you know you should not, go brush your teeth. How else can brushing your teeth help you burn fat? By brushing your teeth a little earlier in the night suggests to your body know that you are finished eating for the day, thwarting any last minute, unplanned, snacks, and prepare you for a good nights sleep (and we know how important rest is!)

Nevertheless, the benefits of this weight loss tip does not stop there (it never does, does it?)!

Six minutes of brushing per day (3 times, 2 minutes each time) will burn well over 3500 calories per year – enough calories to loose at least 1 extra pound of fat per year!

Bonus Free Weight Loss Tip: Obviously, you do not want to carry your toothbrush into a restaurant, and those restaurant portions can be BIG! We all know that if it is on our plate, it is more tempting to finish it.

Carry some of those Listerine pocket strips in your pocket when you go out for a meal. You will get the same “everything tastes bad” effect you get from brushing as well as the signal to your brain that you are finished with your meal. Moreover, you do not look ridiculous lugging your toothbrush everywhere.I really need good advice and tips for weight loss?
    1. Realize you don't have to eat an entire cake or whole piece of cake or a whole cookie. 80% satisfaction is in the first bite and then drops to about 30% satisfaction.

2.Realize you have a lifetime to eat your favorite foods you don't have to do it all in one eating session.

    3. Cut your portions in half and then in half again if your still not loosing.

    4. Move your body work out cardio minimum of 30 minutes per day. Do some weights or machines 3 times a week.

Cardio is swimming, running, walking fast, stair stepping, tennis, skiing etc.

Eat everything in very small portions you WILL loose weight it is simple mathematics and it works.

Do NOT quit even if you don't loose at first and

Do NOT eat more when you loose 5 pounds thinking I can do this it is easy I';ll just eat more today.

I lost 32 kgs (70 pounds) by joining weight watchers. I found having the support of a group of people going through the same problems as well as staff who had also done the programme a huge help. As long as you follow the programme %26amp; it is very simple, you can still have your treats. also a good idea to exercise at least half an hour a day. it doesn't have to be all at once. you can break the times down

Drink a lot of water before every meal. It helps you to eat less. Go to the gym and do some workout. If you hate jogging, try to walk a certain distance everyday. :D

I have begun the 6 week makeover and in the first week I lost 7 lbs. It includes eating 6 times a day. 3 meals and 3 snacks. I start off with egg whites, 1/2 potato, and water in the am for am snack 2oz turkey and a salad, lunch 3 oz turkey, 1/2 potato and a salad, afternoon snack is 2 oz protein and 1/2 cup of fruit and dinner is 3 oz protein, 2 cup veggies and a potato, pm snack an apple. I am doing 2 walks a week for 45 minutes and 2 days of specific target exercises. I love it. I used weight watcher after my first baby and lost 30 lbs but baby 2 it didn't work so I am trying this. So far I am having a hard time eating all of the food but I have to reteach my metabolism that I am not going to starve. I used to eat 1-2 times a day and I didn't eat much at all. I was fluctuating 10 lbs every month but just couldn't lose it. So here I am, on my way to thin. Good luck.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.

eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)

5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day

    8 glasses of water

have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy

have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle

cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training

dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.

If you've seen any other 70 druids on your server, jot down their name and look them up on the Armory. While you may not always find one specced resto, you can get a good idea of what gear and stats to look for when you do.

You can also search thottbot ( http://www.thottbot.com ) for armor or weapons of your choice and ask them to search specifically for items with your stat of choice.I need advice, tips, and information with my character on World of Warcraft.?

Does anyone have some good advice / tips for keeping an email account secure?

One of my Yahoo! 360 friends sent me an invite today saying that her email account had been hacked so she got a new profile. I have no idea if that is her or the hacker, who guessed her password, because we're not that close.

What can you do to prevent someone from guessing your password? I do change mine every so often but is this enough?

Should I remove this friend and deny the invite? Is my account at risk?Does anyone have some good advice / tips for keeping an email account secure?
use 2 capital letters, 2 lower case letters, 2 numbers, 2 symbols.

have it be nothign personal at all (ie random) and make sure its about 12 characters long. and change it like every 30 days.

dont make your password after your pet, kid, parents, husband, wife whatever. -_-Does anyone have some good advice / tips for keeping an email account secure?
Most people create passwords that have meaning to them. Like a birthdate, there name or perhaps there BF/GF name. Anything that pertains to you is easy to crack. The best way to prevent any hacker in gettin into your accounts is to change your password every so often. Make sure your password has a combination of numbers, symbols if allowed and letters. create something random if you want to. Also I dont reccomend checking your accounts on a public computer or anyone but your own. You dont kno whats on other computers such as key trackers that logs down every keystroke you type and reports it back to the owner. Also there could be spyware on the computer or a hacker, so you kno. But anyways those are like the biggest saftey steps. Hope your better then your friend at keepin your accounts safe!
hi, perhaps you can try Norton to protect your PC. but you need to pay for the software.

i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

    download firefox for free:

use some invisible charecters in ur password that can't be hacked or guess.when u press alt and any other charecter, when u release alt, only on charecter will be put.besides ur password must be a combine of letters and numbers for example a good password is

    :ca234t %26lt;%26lt;alt+0160%26gt;%26gt;

    good luck
She probably has the same password on every website that she uses. Sometimes when you register to use a particular site they use your email address as your login. Someone with a more evil plan will set up website for the purpose of stealing your password. So what they will do is set up a site with something interesting in the pop culture and as people log into it they are freely and unknowingly giving up their personal information thinking that it is for something legitimate.

To prevent this just use different passwords for different websites.
Yes. Change your password fequently. Try not to have it very personal, like one word phrase, name, etc. For added security, try to use numbers and letters in your password. For instance, mike84. Finally, for the best security, use a jumble of letters and numbers that make no words. Example is: 7tie0db1. The longer the password (character wise), the harder it will be to be hacked.
I would not remove this person unless you no longer want to be friends. As to a Hacker getting into her acct, that is likely because she has loose lips.

Teach your pets to sit and teach them down to lay down and teach stay. These are the very basic things all dogs should learn.

Work on clipping thier nails and handling feet and teeth and any part of thier bodies. If you have to put medicine on them or treat an injury it helps to be able to lay them down and work on them with out a fight.

Work with each dog seperately you can not train two with one person.

Get a book I think they have one of those Dog Triaining ofr Dummies books and those are well written and easy to understand and should cover basic stuff that you can do yourself.

It should give you a good start.

I just started having these panic attacks can anyone give me some tips or advice?

(I am sorry for length) :(

PAnic attacks are expierenced by a lot of people. Sometimes you may feel like you will collapse or faint, but you will not. As you can see no reason for these feelings, you presume something terrible will happen if you don't make a quick exit. THhis is the reason that panic attacks can terrify people, as they have no idea why they feel like this. But trust me, you will be fine. They may blame it on the place they were at the time, a cafe or maybe the cinema.

There have been many studies carried out about the cause of panic disorders and although the results are still inconclusive, in my experience and the studies of others, the main cause is due to a prolonged feeling of worry and stress.t The worry cup fills up over time until it overflows and manifests itself into a full blown panic attack. There can be other factors like a childhood event, emotional or physical abuse or, as in my case, substance withdrawal. But whatever the cause, recovery d from any form of panic is possible with the right help and support.

The scary part for most people is that these feelings of panic don’t seem to come when they are in a situation of danger, these feelings can come at any time of the day for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, what can keep people in the cycle of panic is the fear of having another attack and the avoidance that can go with it. They may have an attack of panic while driving and then associate driving with panic, thus avoiding getting back behind the wheel. In a few cases, people may retreat indoors as they believe that by doing this, they can avoid all the situations that may bring on an attack of panic. t

When you Understandwhat is happening during an attack of panic can be the first step in moving towards recovery. An attack of panic, or adrenalin as I like to call it, does not mean you are going mad nor having a heart attack. An attack of panic cannot harm you no matter how you feel; it is something that always calmse down in time.

Recovery involves using the right techniques and, again, understanding. Many people do not realise how close their thought pattern is related to how they feel. What you say to yourself before an attack of panic and during one, can have a massive effect on how you feel. You may spend all day worrying about a particular event or situation, building up the worry throughout the day. Is it any wonder when you get there you feel panicky? You may feel the first symptoms of panic and create a whole host of ‘What if I collapse?’ and ‘Oh my God I cannot cope’. By doing this, you are adding fear to fear, intensifying your feelings of panic. I tell many people to try and stay calm in their attitude while feeling the first signs of panic, to try and watch their thought pattern and watch out for all the ‘what ifs’.

The stage you really need to get to is the stage where you no longer fear another attack, easier said than done when all you may have done so far is avoid and run away from how you feel. The technique is to come out of your safety zone and try and see panic through without trying to control it or put a stop to it, to go with the feelings of panic. By doing this you are telling your body there is nothing to fear. Your body reacts to what you tell it and if you're willing to let the feelings come without trying to put a halt to them, you may feel panic rise but it will not grow. It will not grow because it has nothing to feed on and this is what panic feeds on fear, it feeds on all the “oh my God I can’t do this”, “what if I make a fool of myself?”, “I need to get away”. You are telling your body that you are in danger and it reacts accordingly by adding more adrenalin and feeding your feelings of fear. A lot of people think that if they let panic come without trying to stop it or run away from it that something terrible will happen and they will reach the point of no return. Trust me, this place does not exist. This is what helped me to recover. Your instinct to run away during an attack of panic is a normal reaction, but you really need to go through the feelings of panic, to move towards them willingly. All you fear are these feelings - FACT. It is not the cinema or the crowded shopping centre you fear it is a fear of how you will feel when you get there.

When you start to move towards these feelings, saying “Ok come on, do your worse. Do what you have to do I no longer care” you stop adding fear to fear and see what lies at the other side. When I started to do this I realised there was no dark place in which I would collapse or lose control. I had seen panic through. I had stopped avoiding as this was obviously getting me nowhere. This can take practice and I am not pretending it is easy but this is the way forward. If you do this again you have dealt with yourself and not the situation you find yourself in. In time, it will not matter where you find yourself, every situation will be like the other. You will realise for the first time that you do have some control over the way you feel, that there is hope of overcoming these feelings. Fear loves avoidance, so start to take some of its power away, by actively moving towards your feelings of fear.

Hope I helped!I just started having these panic attacks can anyone give me some tips or advice?
Cast it out in the name of Jesus. I did and never had another one.I just started having these panic attacks can anyone give me some tips or advice?
i have suffered with pannic attacks for years i have found one thing out that is that u will not die from a panic attack as i used to think! councelling helps as they teach you controlled breathing, also i would recommend that if u drink alot knock it on the head as this will make them worse.
    http://www.spirituality.com/tte/article_…
Take deep breaths in........ relax your mind....... you may find these are occuring in times of strees......... i have struggled with anxiety my whole life and never had to take a pill i function just fine........ let your mind take rational control of the situation......... stay away from coffee i assure u it makes it worse.......... to much caffeine also makes it worse......... there is a pill for everything now days........ but you need to focus on the situations u are in when this occurs and it is a great possibilty that you may be able to maintain these attacks on your own.......... good luck
Taking deep breaths always helps. Try not to think about the problem and try and get your mind elsewhere. Drinking cold water helps too. If they persist, see a doctor.

Anybody got any useful hints/tips/advice on taking in a lodger?

I bought my house 2 years ago, and am a pushed for money now.

I am a 34 year old woman and live on my own.Anybody got any useful hints/tips/advice on taking in a lodger?
I used to do it. The men were no trouble, but some of the women were. I had to ask two of them to leave.

Were I ever to do that again, I would take some measures to discover something about the person.

    1. the last two months of bank statements.

    2. a call to an employer.

    3. a surprise call on the prospective lodger at her own place.

    4. a lot of questions designed to see if life styles are compatible.

    5. If you can find financially secure men, they are the best bet, but check closely. It ain' easy living with a none relative.Anybody got any useful hints/tips/advice on taking in a lodger?
my other half took in lodgers and regreted it and wont do it again
Renting out a room and a portion (common areas) of your home is a fine idea. I'd say... you'd want to make sure that you attract the type of ';lodger'; that has a lifestyle commensurate to your own (IE: if you work nights, it would help if they were away during the days so that you could sleep, etc.). I would also draft some lease-type documents that reflect the area of your home (their room, etc.) that they would occupy and the amount of rents and when they are due. Also, it would be a good idea to include utilities and other common expenses.

You could post your room for rent on a board, like Craigslist.org, or tack a note on a bulletin board at your neighborhood coffee shop. I think that word-of-mouth helps to pre-select your lodger... you want someone that you trust and that you could live with. Good luck!

(Here is a positive lodger story: I was moving and looking for a new place. I had a girlfriend who had a friend who's sister was vacating his ';in-law'; apartment in part of his house. So, through this friend-of-a-friend situation, I made a really great friend and we had a superb living situation. It couldn't have been better, really. I fixed things around the house; I paid below-market rent and he always ';forgot'; to assess my share of the utilities. We even had a third roommate, whom we found through Craigslist, who was only present 4 days/month -- work required her to maintain a ';home base'; in our town but it also required her to travel non-stop. Anyway, it was a great positive experience for us and I appreciate having him as a roommate. Still, I say: good luck, you can find a good situation if you look carefully!)
When i got my first house i tool on 2 lodgers, both where female and i must admit i really regretted it after a while. The phone, bathroom, kitchen and living were basically off limits to me the parade of different fellas every month was quite disturbing. I ended their contract and a male lodger moved in , i had no problems (only him being n arsenal fan!) and to be fair he showed much more respect towards my property than the girls. Make sure you have set rules, cleaning up after them is a must if they decide to have visitors try to be relaxed about it , but dont let them walk over you either. Have a months trial with someone, they may not like you. All in all just be careful
I did this after I lost my clients in the aftermath of 9/11. It can be a good way to pay the bills, that's for sure.

However, I also learned some lessons that you may find helpful.

First, determine whether or not you can charge enough to make it worthwhile. It depends on the area where you live, how much space you'll be renting and what you'll include with that rent.

For instance, in my case, I decided that (seeing as how I lived right outside of Washington DC at the time), I could rent the rooms on a short-term basis and rent them out to interns and/or visiting fellows at the local non-profits. I fixed each room up with TV/digital cable, a mini-fridge and microwave, etc. Then I rented them out for $900 - $1500/mo.

How did I come up with those figures? Well, for one thing, I decided to start with a portion of the rent. (I had five rooms to rent out, so I divided my monthly rent by that amount to get a place to start), then I estimated the monthly expenses and divided that by five as well. (Estimate HIGH because it's all included in the same price -- I found that to be much easier than hounding someone for each little bill every month.)

I also had a set of ';House Rules'; that I had them sign before I'd accept a deposit from them. They agreed to abide by the rules and were subject to being evicted without notice for violations. I spelled out everything from details about overnight guests (which were only allowed a maximum of 7 days per month) to schedules for cleaning. (In truth, I wouldn't have kicked someone out for falling a little behind on the cleaning or having someone stay overnight for an 8th night; however, some of them were zero tolerance rules -- like those prohibiting drugs on the premises.)

In the end, it's only worthwhile if you can make enough money to offset the loss of privacy on your part, so be careful when you work out those numbers. Also, keep in mind that there is no such thing as discrimination when you're choosing someone to share your housing (though it certainly applies if you were renting out space that was not to be shared.) This means that you can, for instance, specify a female roommate, if you prefer to do so.

    Good luck!

  • Tips and advice on my question please?

I would like to lose 20 pounds in 5 months (or less). My trouble areas are my love handles, stomach and arms. I cannot run or jog though due to bad knees so please don鈥檛 include that. And no pills or crash diets that don鈥檛 work. Thank you!Tips and advice on my question please?
Swimming, anusara yoga, and bikram yoga would all be excellent matches for you. Swimming's easy on your joints, and will help you burn fat, since it's a cardio exercise. Anusara yoga tones your muscles, which will boost your metabolism, while bikram yoga gets your heart rate up.

In general, eat about 400 calories fewer than you usually do, and stick to natural foods, including whole grains, fruits, vegetables, fish, nuts, and lean meat. Make sure all your meals contain carbs, protein, and healthy fats.Tips and advice on my question please?
You need to do 45-60 minutes of cardio exercise 5-6 days a week in order to lose weight-it doesn't need to be high intensity but it does need to raise your heart rate enough to get you breathing heavily. Try spinning (intense group cycling-it's no impact so it shouldn't bother your knees), power walking, water aerobics or an elliptical trainer. You need to tone your muscles while you're losing fat to get that lean, toned look. Yoga and pilates are great because they are no impact and they stretch you out while they tone your muscles so you get those long, lean muscles. You can also do weight training, but do high repetitions (15-20) with light weigh to build endurance without bulk. Weight training (or yoga and pilates or all three) should be done 3-4 days a week. If you weight train, make sure you rest the body parts you work at least one day in between-your muscles break down during training and need at least 24 hours for them to repair.
I have bad knees. Spinning (the cycling class at most gyms) helped me the most. Swimming (not water aerobics: twisting in the class can hurt the knees as well). Following a simple eating plan may help. An easy place to start would be ediets.com or any book by Bob Greene (Oprahs trainer) She may not follow his teachings all the time, but he acknowledges real life issues. Best wishes! FYI chewing gum helped me when I had cravings!
Can you ride a bicycle with your bad kneeds? Cause if you can that is a great all over body workout. if not, you could stop drinking soda pop and only drink water that will help. and a friend of mine wore a sweatsuit when exercising with plastic trash bags under it. I guess it makes you sweat more. I know it sound crazy, but he lost 100 lbs in 5 months. I know that is extreme weight loss, but maybe you could do it for just a few weeks and reach your goal. Good luck to you.

I have a 110cc 4-stroke mini bike. Any advice and tips to supe it up?

Lol well first of all, if it's got a speed governor on it, rip that p.o.s. off. Enriching the mixture on the carb can give it some extra umph too. If you're giving it away I wouldn't spend too much money on performance parts.I have a 110cc 4-stroke mini bike. Any advice and tips to supe it up?
You are asking us for tips to ';soup up'; a 110 cc scooter that you want to give away?

So you will spend about 50 cents to get it to run a lot better, will you?

Okay, drain most of the gas out. Then take a brand new full can of SEA FOAM (you get it at the auto parts store or a BOAT parts store. Then open it carefully (it is a hydrocarbon that you do not want to ingest, even in jest). Pour it all in to the tank, start it up and ride it slowly around the block. Make a second lap at top speed. Make sure you do not run out of fuel. Then fill the tank with nice fresh fuel. It will be worth TWICE as MUCH as it was before!

Sea Foam cleans out the passages in the carbs, and cleans the tank out, removes the water from the tank, and makes it run like new again. (Uh, you may want to replace the sparkplugs. With iridium plugs of the same heat range? Just one little spark plug?

Sea foam $6, new gas $5, new spark plug, iridium, $10 (it will be probably be a good deal less, but iridium is pricey stuff)(make sure to get a resistor plug so it will not click through the radio all over town. It wont affect him, but it will affect you.) The feeling of having done your best to do a good deed for a neighbor? Priceless.
    one easy way.

mess with the airbox. get airbox vents and drill holes exposing the airbox to more airflow. find an aftermarket exhaust..a universal muffler from fmf would do good.

Can anyone give tips or advice for drying fresh spices.?

Specifically Basil, Mint, Dill and CilantroCan anyone give tips or advice for drying fresh spices.?
I'm a cookbook editor and I answer this question a lot. Basil: if you chop and freeze it, you can almost use it like fresh basil. Drying evaporates all the essential oils that make it fragrant so don't dry it unless you have no other option. Cilantro: Not worth drying -- the flavor vanishes. Try chopping and freezing like basil. Mint: Time Bomb's answer is pretty good. You can also microwave-dry it between paper towels, which I've done with great success, but the directions are at home and I'm at the office. Dill can be dried like mint. Can anyone give tips or advice for drying fresh spices.?
Simple----take a pair of discarded hose thats clean %26amp; put your clen dry herbs in them %26amp; hang them out to dry. After abt 3-4 months they will crumble in your hand %26amp; you can put them in clean bottles for storage. Now give me 10 pts plse.
basil should be blanched and then frozen in olive oil in an ice cub tray. most others should be hung on the stems in a dark closet for a few weeks to dry.
I always spread them on a cookie sheet and put in a very low oven until dry.

I have done this mostly with thyme and parsley.

Question for all those drying them on top of fridge or hanging upside down for weeks - do they not get dusty? If you try to shake off dust the leaves will fall off too.
Lay them on top of paper towels or a wicker basket and place them on top of the fridge.
gather in a bunch, tie ends together with twine and hang up side down in a cool dry place.once dried store leaves in spice jars.
I have only dried oregano, but I think it might be the same....turn oven on very low (200) and have stalks laid out in one layer...leave in oven for hours til dried out....remove leaves and voila! Dried spices.

  • Please help with advice, tips . How to get out of Debt.?

LIve ine canada and need anything that can help me get out of high interest debt . I am doing everything I can to possibily lower interest rates and have reasonable monthly payment. Depressed by debt amount but ready to fight and get some help to rebuild my financial life. Please help need advice, tips any information useful for me. God bless all of the people that would kindly answer my question without insulting me. Note that I live in Canada so take that into account in you help and informatonsPlease help with advice, tips . How to get out of Debt.?
I would just add a couple things. First, congratulations on asking for help. Plenty of debt here in the US and many keep their heads in the sand. I agree with the credit card advice. Credit cards are only for true emergencies! Not the new TV, etc.

You can get a second job to generate more income and/or cut expenses. Sell whatever you don't need at a garage sale. If you have a high car payment, sell it and pay cash for a used vehicle.

Perhaps sell your house, move to a cheaper apartment. Just look at all your expenses....good luckPlease help with advice, tips . How to get out of Debt.?
I don't know the rules or laws in Canada regarding debt but some of this is applicable no matter where you live.

If you are only paying the minimum payment on credit cards, you will be in debt forever. Credit card minimum payments are really set up to keep you in debt. The bank is charging you interest every month, after all. The less you pay, the more interest they get to charge you next month.

As hard as it may be, you are going to have to cut back somewhere and start paying more off every month on those credit cards. Whatever you can afford to pay over the minimum payment is going to help.

Do NOT charge any more on the cards. The last thing you want right now is to increase your debt. Take the card with the highest interest rate and start paying as much as you can on it. Even if it's just an extra $20 a month. Once you start paying extra on them, you'll see the total amount owed start to go down faster and faster. Once you have that first one paid in full, take a deep breath and congratulate yourself on a job well done and start on the next one. All the money you were sending to the one you just paid, you now add that to the minimum payment on the next one. Obviously, you have to make at least the minimum payment on all of them every month but work on one of them at a time and get them paid off.

If they all have the same interest rate, start with the one with the lowest balance.

Get yourself on a budget. Look around at what you're spending money on every month and figure out where you can cut back until you get this under control.

It's not a lot of fun for a while but the sense of satisfaction you get when you get these paid off will be so worth it.

Then you'll be able to start taking some of that money and save it or invest it so that the next time you want a new CD player or something, you'll have the money to pay for it in case and won't go into debt again.

    Good luck.
Seriously, you need to pay off your debt, that is the only way out, if your debt is so bad, then call a debt program and see if they can help you.
I think the following article should help you. You can visit the website to know more about the article:

A debt consolidation program helps to get out of all high interest debts. There are various types of debt consolidation loans.

Home equity loan is one such debt consolidation program where a person can use home to get a loan..............
stop buying unnecessary things when you dont have the money.
You should look in the phone book for debt counseling agencies, you have a common problem and these people have the knowledge and tools to help you, good luck.

Anyone have any Sprinting or Hurdle tips or advice?

Im a junior this year and ive been training in the gym all summer on my quick start muscles and ive been taking a spinning class for low impact cardio taining but i was wondering if anyone experienced in track and field can give me some speed tips for sprinting and hurdling.

i would love if you have any drills i could do or if you have nay fave work outs to share or anything=] thanksAnyone have any Sprinting or Hurdle tips or advice?
This may sound weird, but I would consider taking a yoga or gymnastics class. Nearly all professional athletes do something of the sort. Since you are a hurdler, you will want maximum mobility in the legs. Of course, leg workouts such as presses, lifts, and extensions are key. But something like yoga could help you pinpoint the areas you really need in order to help you increase your leg potential while hurdling.

    Just a suggestion. ;)

Technology is great, but it is wise to also have hardcopies of information when you're dealing with your most precious commodity--your clientele!

Have a white board hung, where you can create your weekly schedule of existing clients. Another one for prospects/estimates, etc.

Any advice or tips on getting teeth whitened by a dentist?

I am thinking of getting my teeth bleached by my dentist, does anyone have any tips or advise?Any advice or tips on getting teeth whitened by a dentist?
I would advise getting your teeth whitened if you really want it. I think it helps with self esteem. I am currently going through the process of having my teeth whitened has well. They are using a process called zoom whitening and it's all done in one afternoon visit. It lasts a lifetime. It is quite expensive ($500.00 probably depending on where you are) and insurance companies will not pay for it. However the end result is well worth the expense.

I hope this helpsAny advice or tips on getting teeth whitened by a dentist?
Hi, I just wanted to comment that, unlike some answerers have stated, enamel does _not_ grow back, and any process that makes it thinner will make your teeth more susceptible to cavities.

    Good luck!

Sorry for the misinformation about regrowing tooth enamel. But from what I have heard from some other people, they told me the enamel does remineralize over a period of time. I'm not sure if this is true or fiction. Perhaps I have been misled. and I didn't mean to wrong author's question.

My own dentist told me that all whitening techniques are dangerous for your teeth and health. Imagine you ingesting the chemicals that have to be applied. They can lead to heart attacks

The Zoom process is great and doesn't cause heart attacks nor loss of enamel

Zoom is great however it does not last a life time as stated above. Drinking tea, coffee and sodas will stain the teeth again over time.

CHEAPER WAY!! use the crest whitening thing. i did, and it worked great. it only cost me $21. it lasted for 5 months of having white teeth. although i was also using whitening toothpaste and brushing 3 times a day

    Bleaching is great!

Brite Smile done by a good dentist works great! It's expensive (about $500) but FAST and makes you feel great.
i've used the Colgate brush on paste and i'm tellin ya...it sux!!! u can tell by the price since it's only $11.00...but the Crest strips i bought for $2.00 from a flea market, that's why they were so cheap, but they were like a year past the expiration date and i still used em and they worked a little bit, so i'm sure if ya buy the Crest Premium white strips, they should work way better...i also bought the Crest night effects for the same price and they were past the expiration date as well...but i'm warning ya that the paste started comin off of my teeth at like 5 in the morning and when i'd wake up, it was so nasty i was gagging and then i had to get up and brush my teeth then...it sucked...i'd definitely stick w/ the dentist appt...at home kits suck.
ok i asked my dentist about that and he said tht u really do not want to get ur teeth whitened because there is a something or other running along our teeth that holds them to your gums and when you whiten then you weaken that. ur teeth might fall out. i don't think ur gonna have the same smile on youy avatar. (wait do u even have an avatar?)
The tips means shortcuts and do,not try shortcuts when it comes to health. The colour of teeth going yellow is not only because of yellow deposits and removing these deposits is the only solution. The dental surgeon may tell u about the real cause of change and the need is to act on his advice.
    u ve enough advise....i think that s more....go ahead...
    bleech
You could always use those whitening strips on the market instead of paying all that money from a dentist. If you want a professional job then, I would go the dentist.
Bleaching not advisable, but can go for polishing..
use whitening toothpast which has flouride. brush twice a day , i dont think visiting a detist is so useful. cleaning teeth often will result in weakening of teeth, but it is neceesary when u have probblems like odour , stain etc
well as long as i know whitenning teeths make your teeth weak..also why whould u want to do that...it's gonna be so obvious that it's not really your teeth...u did ';something'; to it
I want mine whitened by the dentist, but its too expensive, and I don't know if it'll work. I've tried Crest WhiteStrips Premium, and it didn't work at all. I also tried some cheap whitening stuff from Walgreens, which I used once and almost threw up. The solution was chunky and you were supposed to sleep with it on your teeth. My suggustion, get it done by a dentist.
Just make sure you don't have any cavities before whitening your teeth. And if you have fillings on your front teeth they won't get any whiter.
I knew a dental hygenist about a year ago and she told me that the Colgate (I think) brand with the brush on stuff is just as good as going to the dentist...she got discounts on all services and she still preferred Colgate.
don't do it unless u really want to spend that much on it. It costs like 300. I found that using whitening strips at home works almost as well and is way cheaper.
Brush after each meal even if its in the middle of the day public restroom where ever. Have cleaned by dentist ever 6 months and use white strips once a week at home during the evening.

Be sure to floss every night.
my dad is a dentist if you want a good bleach that wont make your teeth sensitve for the rest of your life, get your doctor. The stris will KILL your teeth! It will make them very sensitve to where you could never eat ice cream or soup anymore.
This is my personnel exp. may be when u go to doc. %26amp; during the the teeth whitening process may be some cavities hidden under might open up this will cost a fortune to get it fixed and insurence will not pay that so u better chk ur pocket before u enter doc. clinic
all i can say is that sometimes it dosent work
You can go to Brite Smile. My Bro had his teeth wightened by them and no his teeth are really white and clean.
I spent $300, got them white, then they went back. Save your money. I routinely use Rembrandt rinse, with reasonable results.

Your dentist won't actually do the whitening, you will receive some custom tools to do it yourself.
I started bleaching about 4 years ago; my start up costs were approx $250. Now, I order my whitening gel from a seller on Ebay. If you start with bleach, may sure you get a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. I like the Colgate version. Email me if you want specifics about my Ebay seller.
ITS EASY ,THAT DOZEN HURT .ITS A LASER WHO CLEAN YOUR THEE TS. OR DRINK FIVE BEER'S AND RELAX
I forget what it's called but there is an at home whitening kit that's cheaper and is done the same way with peroxide gel and a lamp. Ask your dentist about it.

If you have caps, crowns, veneers or other artificials whitening will only work on real teeth
cheaper getting one of those self teeth whitening kits
it works. but remember the bleach affects the tooth and it may weaken the tooth. so weigh your options, do you want white teeth or do you want to risk having a weak tooth.
Well Those appointments when you do that with your teeth, are very well your teeth will look nice, but it's a little bit expensive.

A professional and a good dentist will cost you like $250 an appointment, so it's your decision, i would suggested if you smoke, drink and if you have your teeth yellow.
First of all why do you want to bleach your teeth? There are many, many causes of tooth stains. And each whitening treatment will depend greatly on that. Some stains can be simply removed by a routine cleaning from your ddentist and some stains require a much more extensive treatment. A rule of thumb is the less invasive it is,the better for your teeth. The less abrasive the product your using is,the better (if you're planning on using over the counter products) .Trust me,i'm a dentist. If you have any other questions, feel free.
Use whitening strips. They really help me.
I actually talked my dentist into doing it for free, i've been going to him since i was four (now 19) he did it and i love them. Its not only a self asteem boost but other people notice it too.
make a visit to a dentist for scalling, once after that avoid stuff like any means of tobacco, beverages and moreover brush twice that too before going to the bed

First time Babysitting an Infant- Any advice/tips to Give me?? Thanks?

I am babysitting a 4 month old boy tomorrow night for about 6 hours. I have barely even held an infant before (just him once!) I have only babysat for children about 2+ years old. Please give me some advice or tips- I am soo nervous. He also has Down Syndrome, but is very healthyFirst time Babysitting an Infant- Any advice/tips to Give me?? Thanks?
Okay well DONT FREAK! I babysat a 9 month old for the first time a couple days ago, and it was much easier. So a 4 month old, if its in the night your probably going to be putting him to bed at a decent time.. i would say at the latest like 8, but probably earlier. but before that just remember dont let him out of your sight, he cant walk yet so he will crawl everywhere and if he crys just pick him up and rock him, and it will work out. just make sure to change the diaper if its neccessary, he will probably cry right when the parent leaves but after that you will be okay.

it isnt as hard as it seems, so dont worryFirst time Babysitting an Infant- Any advice/tips to Give me?? Thanks?
Well, first of all, don't panic at all. Even if you think you're doing it all wrong, don't panic, because chances are you are not.

Be ready to exercise your patience, and make sure you know where everything is. Oh don't wear a shirt you're fond of. Babies tend to spit up a lot.

When changing his diaper, before you even think of taking off the old, make sure you have the new one ready to go. Baby boys tend to think its funny to pee when you don't have a diaper near them, lol.

Be sure to check the diaper often, because you don't want him to be sitting in his own filth, right?

Unless he has a strict feeding schedule--if he's hungry, feed him. When he's done, don't force him to take the rest of his bottle, just let him be.

Don't be surprised if he wants to be held a lot. When I babysat 6 month old Ashleigh (a boy), every time I tried to put him down in his crib, he'd wake up screaming his head off. I found that letting him sleep on my chest was his favorite, because he could hear my heartbeat, and it soothed him.

    Also, singing tends to help.

And don't forget--have fun! Babies are adorable, and cute and loveable. Just stay calm, and don't freak out, and you should be fine.

    ^_^
Ok first of all im kinda new to the baby thing too but the natural mother - father instincts kicks in when holding a new child i believe, my sister had a beautiful boy 4 years ago and when she had him i was asked to hold him and i was terrified of even that and even though im not a father i started having to take care of this new life in this world as if it was my own but this 4 year old child talks speaks and knows way way more than he should at this age and that could be partly because of me, so dont be nervous be happy na be proud that these people trust u enough to take care of such a beautiful delicate baby, be happy and in that u will do great and the baby and u will have the times of your life.
Be prepared to smile like a goofball! The baby will love nothing more than looking at you and smiling, hearing you sing. Be relaxed - be a dork! Make stupid faces and noises - make songs about everything! Don't be nervous - have mom give you a run down before she leaves.
get your mother or someone else who has taken care of babies to come with you . you should have told the mother that you never handled a 4 month old before.

Tips/Advice for Night Clubs in Las Vegas?

So I'm taking my girlfriend to Vegas for her 21st birthday (should be fun right?). Anyway, I plan to try and hit up some of the bigger night clubs for dancing I hear Pure, Tryst, and Tangerine are sure things. Just wanted to hear some advice/tips on clubbing in Vegas mainly:

    1) how to get in (do I need to buy those expensive VIP club passes, or what time should I show up so I don't end up waiting in line for 3 hours)? Sadly I don't have $100 to spare tipping a bouncer.

    2) proper dress (i'd most likely end up wearing a button shirt and nice jeans, i'm sure she'll find something appropriate).

    3) any other suggestions?

    Thanks a bunch

~GTips/Advice for Night Clubs in Las Vegas?
Pure is fun. Do not: buy a VIP club pass, they are a waste of money and do nothing. Do: have a nice early dinner and then get in line. This is pretty much a sure thing at any club in Vegas. Be in line by 10pm at the latest. Your clothes are fine. I would tell your girl to not wear super high stilletos because her feet will kill her and a lot of clubs do not have places to sit....and they'll make you put your shoes back on. And don't try to get into VIP sections (I know her it's her bday, but...) because they are $1500 minimum on the weekends.Tips/Advice for Night Clubs in Las Vegas?
To add to the first answer given - if the club you want to go to is in your hotel, speak to the concierge - they might be able to hook you up. (Heck, speak to the concierge anyway - explain it's a special occasion - they might be able to work something out for you somewhere. If they do, throw 'em a cash tip of $20-$30 - depending on how hard they had to work for ya.)

If that doesn't work - show up early to get in line. If you wait, you'll be waiting outside ALL night. Don't do more than one club a night - or you'll spend more time in line than anything else!

What you figured to dress is perfectly acceptable - just make sure you don't wear sneakers!
I would definitely check out the passes available on line unless you are going a day in advance to hang out and attempt to gather passes as you browse the area. There are people who hand out VIP passes for some spare change, they are valid however its not guaranteed that you may find the passes you are looking for. I would go for spending the extra $20-40 to have the advantage of heading to the front of the line. I did this for my son's 21st and he and his friends had a great time! Check the websites for the clubs you have listed and they will tell you the minimum you need to spend to by a pass to bypass standing in such a long line at the door. It is Vegas and not Disneyland... don't spend time waiting in line.

I promise you won't regret it. Here's a link to help you get started it gives the names of the clubs, the attire is always a button down shirt, no gym shoes!

    Have a great time!

I want to become a writer. Any advice/tips you can give me?

I'll be 14 soon, and i extremely enjoy writing. At the moment im doing Fan Fiction: http://www.fanfiction.net/~twilightkicks鈥?/a>

It gives me time to practice.

What advice can you give me? Thanks :) no rude comments please.I want to become a writer. Any advice/tips you can give me?
loll. I love your Crazy Cullen Sex Talk one. That's funny xD. What authors they do is. They sit down and start jogging up ideas :) and then once they have all the details they want, they turn it into a book.

    Hope this helps.

:)I want to become a writer. Any advice/tips you can give me?
You should write something that you would think you would want to read just really write for your self and then reread it to make sure that its what you like im also writing a book right now and i just so inspired by my friends that i decided to write about them in my book i made each character look %26amp; act the way my friends did everyday just ask for your friends opinion on things like which character they like on the names of the characters or anything you need help on. by the way im younger than u and im writing a book so good luck!

hope this helped this is what my NaNa told me to do
Just one, and I'm afraid you'll probably consider it a rude comment...

Why are all your characters, some of whom are many decades old and most of whom are men, acting like 13 year old girls? I know why. It's because you are a 13 year old girl.

When you write other characters you need to think about what _they_ would do, what _they_ would say, and how _they_ would act. Not just superpose your own behaviour on them.
You got the skills to write creative stories, however, I think you should be ready for developing your own characters and their world adding to this, your descriptive is not that bad so keep up what you are doing now. And I wish you all the best! Can't wait to see another ambitious author to be born.

    Good Luck!
you have to write for your self first this means you have to like the subject that you pick rather that one that is popular.

second research your topic of writing carry a rocording device or a note book to write ideas that come to you when you are out.

    and write write write.

    good luck.
w/e u write about; write it w/ a passion, and don't think about what everyone is going 2 say just write it how you feel is right and the words will just flow through you and the pen.
Write about something that you love about. Be yourself as you write. Show a side about yourself that you usually don't show. Have fun while you are writing.
Hey, well your fanfictions are so good, I have read all of them. You are so funny all I an say is keep doing what your doing, and over time you will get better.

hey seasoned travellers.. travelling has always been my hobby and passion and i would like to travel more in the future but im still a novice when it comes to doing your research work about a city or country please tell me sites that give information about lodging and transport fares... scam and tourist traps to watch out of and exciting lil places to visit for once besides famous tourists spots in ASIA thanks! Please share with us some useful sites regarding travelling advice and tips plus lodging and transportation!?
I've been backpacking for about 3 years now Currently in Iraq working for more traveling money. I started when I was 18 I went to South East Asia for 5 months and that was enough for me to see what I was going to do TRAVEL the world. What I do: I pick up a map, few changes of clothes, money(when you think you have plenty of money you don't get more) good shoes, pictures of home and go. I find a country and start walking things will fall into place after you get there. Dont plan to much it will taint your trip. I'm now 24 and still get the jitters when I land in a foreign place. Always travel alone... Don't ever bring anybody on a long trip, a trip to the beach for the weekend is one thing. You have to be flexible and have patience. You have to be ready to sleep at train stations, bus stops, park benches if you travel a long time it will happen. Traveling is the most rewarding thing you can ever do I would spend money traveling than spend it on school. I have learned so much, met so many people. I've seen things from war-zones to the most beautiful mountains and beaches in the world. It was worth every bit of effort I put into it. Being a traveler is not for everyone. But start small get your feet wet, Thailand is a good start its easy and foreign. When you get more into it South Amer., Africa, and then the Mid-East. I'm starting college tomorrow any tips and advice?

Like I said I'm college tomorrow and I' just looking for advice and tips. I'm going to be a math major if that makes any difference.I'm starting college tomorrow any tips and advice?
I remember when I started college about three years ago. I found that these tips helped me.

-VERY IMPORTANT (if I could highlight this, I would) thing to remember is to relax. College may be intimidating at first, but you are not the only person to get nervous, in fact, all new people are.

-If you get lost, ask to be pointed in the right direction. There are usually student groups on campus the first few days of school to help point new students in the right way.

-Get familiar with your professors. Find their offices and get to know them outside of class so they can help you with passing classes. It can mean the difference between one letter grade to another.

-Find a group of people with the same major as you for study groups.

-If you want, join a social group at school. They can help you meet new people, and they help on resumes when you apply for jobs.

-Find and know where the health clinic, public safety, housing and resident life (if you live on campus), financial aid, and the registar offices are. You will use these services throughout your college career.

-Attend functions sponsored by the school. It is a great way to meet the people who run the school and new people.

-Take advantage of what your college has to offer, You pay for certain facilities and activities, why not use them?

I know it's long, but college is about learning more about yourself and getting a good education. I hope this helps, and I wish you a wonderful college career!!!I'm starting college tomorrow any tips and advice?
Today was my first day! Ha!

Don't panic if you get lost, not everyone knows where they're going and someone will help you if you ask.

If you have a means of contact with your professors like student email or whatever, check it if you can. They might've listed something you are either required to have that day or knowledge you will likely need before you walk in.

Other than that, sit pretty up close to the professor and make sure to have paper, a pen AND pencil and a folder along with any textbooks you might already have. Plus, it might help to have some money on ya in case you get hungry between classes.

Good luck! It wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be.

probably at least a couple right?

Do you use a nail brush every time you wash your hands?

    Probably not.. most ppl don't!

Think of all the other things you touch in a day without washing your hands and using a nailbrush.... lots of things door knobs, counters etc......

So basically what I'm trying to say your nails are very dirty they trap all the germs and bacteria from your everyday life unless you use a nail brush when washing your hands.... you are putting germs, bacteria from bathrooms etc in your mouth.....

Thinking about it that way is enough to deter me from biting my nails....

If that doesn't work try that ';no bite'; polish.... or get an expensive manicure or even gel nails or something..... it will be hard to bite them then :)Are there some fantastic tips/advice/ways to stop biting nails?? I can't stop~!!?
I had the same problem too.

    These are some options:

    1. You can start by putting on nail polish.

    2. You can wear fake nails.

    3. Just stop immediatly!
Put a really awful tasting but non-toxic goop on them, and it might help or you could try hypnotherapy which might work, then again, neither method may help. I'm a nail biter too, and nothing cured me that I ever tried, and I tried all kinds of crap even Acupuncture! It's basically a bad habit you got into in childhood and have reinforced for years and evidence of a type of mild nervous disorder (stress induced), a mild neurosis, and there isn't much that really helps, but I'll be curious to some of the other answers you're sure to get here, some are bound to be infallible ';sure-cures';.
i had the same problem, then i went out and got a really expensive manicure and pedicure, and whenever i thought about chewing them, i didn't because i paid so much for them to be done, i am not lieing, this really helps, so go out and get one!! good luck with this!
I used to bite my nails when I was younger. The way I stopped was by learning to do pretty manicures and keep my nails filed and polished. I liked the way they looked so much that I made myself stop biting them. I've had my nails long and pretty for a very long time now, and I still keep a nice pretty manicure -- my current style is white french tips. I do it myself so I don't spend a bunch of $$ for a professional.
i vote No bite. or paint your nails, and then when you bite them it will taste bad. i used to have that problem, and thats what i did. now i have really long and strong nails.
there is this nail polish that you put on to stop you from biting them.
theres a clear anil polish u can use

once u put ur hands in ur mouth it taste horrible!
what if you just considered all the places your hands are and everything they come in contact with all day. just the thought of all the unsavory bacteria and ';stuff'; that's residing under your nails should be enough to keep you from putting them in your mouth.
Try No Bite. It is like nail polish and is clear and tastes bad so you won't bite. It's worked on me, my brother, and my mom!
    Get artificial ones
How to Stop Biting Your Nails

Tape your nails. One way to stop biting your nails is to tape the end of each with Scotch tape. Then when you go to bite your nail, you'll get an unpleasant mouthful of tape.

Apply a cream or lacquer. At your local grocery store or pharmacy you'll be able to find a plethora of nail creams and lacquers. Simply apply them to your nail and you'll get an unpleasant bitter taste each time you try and bite your nails! Brands such as ';Control-It,'; or Orly beauty's ';No Bite'; are such products. But truthfully, there are many on the market that all work well. If it tastes bitter, it should be a deterrent.

Chew gum. Sometimes biting your nails has less to do with the obsession of nail biting and potentially more to do with an oral fixation. Therefore try chewing gum to occupy your mouth. That way if you try and bite your nails, you'll be stuck with sticky fingers.

Wear mittens. If all else fails, wear mittens. It is so ridiculously unpractical and slightly embarrassing in public, that it should help stop that nasty nail biting habit real quick!

This is not a quick fix or miracle cure and YOU are in charge of sticking with the program. You must be 150% determined to do it or it wont work.

    Caring for your nails

Purchase a bitter-tasting formula made expressly to stop nail biting. Choose the worst-tasting solution you can find. Wash hands every morning with soap and water and towel dry.

Apply a liberal amount of the solution to the nails, cuticles and surrounding skin. Continue to reapply the solution throughout the day as it wears off.

Reapply the solution at bedtime. Make sure the bitter taste is always present on your nails.

As nails begin to grow, coat them with a polish made for strengthening nails. Get regular manicures to maintain nails.
