Is there any tips or advice on wining the game monopoly?

me and my boyfriend always play monopoly the original version, and for some reason he always seams to win :( . the only way i win is if i collect all the red's and apply houses! can any one help, i really wanna kick his *** it at 4 once! xxIs there any tips or advice on wining the game monopoly?
The best properties to have is all three yellow as they are not very expensive to build on and get you very good money when anyone lands on them...

Cheat! Give him loads of lager and when he has to go to the loo take the money from the bank. That's what my brother used to do to me and I've only just worked it out!!!!

Offer to be the banker - you can then help yourself to extra 拢拢拢s when he isn't looking! (go past go collect 拢400 etc!!!)


Distract him whenever you land on one of his properties and hope he doesn't notice - encourage him to throw the dice and then you don't have to pay!


When you roll the dice, cheat by moving your piece one or two places more (or less) than you should - i.e to avoid his sites (esp if he has houses/hotels!) or to enable you to take advantage of landing on a site you need to buy etc.


Basically cheat ... but don't get caught LOL!!!

I go for the green, red %26amp; blue fellows., stick property on, as funds afford, and often win.


Allow enough for rent %26amp; fines, and all is well.

cheat. when the banker isnt looking, take some money, property. also, nick other peoples houses with out them noticing!

i very rarely lose a game of monopoly - buy as many properties as you can afford but only buy one of each colour except for one of the cheap streets. then you need to be patient and wait for the people you are playing with to make you a good offer. if they don't make you a really good offer just wait after several hours they will die of boredom and you win by default - good luck and prepare to lose your friends
Buy all the railroads %26amp; electricity places if you can. Never turn them down. Check on his every move to see if he landed on a property you own. Once his turn is over, you can't make him pay you!
I usually always win,and the way I do it is to buy all the Pinks,and as many of the orange %26amp; greens as possible,then build as many hotels %26amp; houses as quickly as possible.Also try to gain control of the Utility companies!! But the Pinks are the key (or whatever colours you have on your board after Jail-they are the key given that you can't roll more than a 12 on the dice!!The odds of him landing there from Go or anywhere on that 1st side are high!!).
My advice would be to aim to get the Old Kent Road and Angel Islington. They may not gain much but they are VERY cheap to build on. This is how I win and it works quite a lot of the time. I would also advise getting the oranges by the free parking space. MONEY MONEY MONEY! Alternatively, offer to be the banker and take some cash! Have fun!

i wouldnt cheat, even though it is properly tempting...


my plan of action as someone else mentioned is getting the stations, the waterworks and electricity cards. then if you can make sure you get a whole row, like the reds and yellows or the pinks and oranges.. cos a whole strip will always do more damage once it has house or hotels, cos they are bound to land on one of them...


at the end of the day though, it is the playing not the winning that matters ;o) and having fun and spending time with your boyfriend...
I like getting the orange and purple properties. I try to take over the row between jail and free parking. There are many cards and events that take you either to go, jail, or railroads, so I feel that make it's a costly danger zone for your opponents and nice safe zone for you.





I do enjoy getting the 2 cheap properties by Go. Just because it's fun to nickel and dime your opponents with the cheap property :)
Deaths corner try and get that its Mayfair %26amp; Park lane Old kent road %26amp; Whitechaple they dread it coming round to that cause you got the taxes aswell once you get hotels on there you should be laughing breaks um down and fun hey hey good luck
try to land on the blue and put houses on both when owned that makes alot of money
