You are already in salsa classes. You're on the right track. Basic step of salsa is easy, you'll get the basic and much more than that by September. Keep it up with classes, and good luck. I assume you have other ways than salsa classes to take care of your Spanish. LOL.I have just started salsa dancing lessons and I could do with a few tips any advice.?

Be afraid, be very afraid!
Oh how fun! I just started Salsa too, and I have a great time if I go with a lot of people! I don't speak any Spanish, but I can tell I will be learning some soon!
Practice makes perfect and the basics are essential if you want to be a good dancer. In addition, my advice is to listen to good salsa music whenever possible. The sooner you get the rhythm in your blood, the sooner it will start showing in your moves on the dance floor. Check out www.imambo.tv for tons of great salsa clips. You have to register to see the video clips, but registration is free. Good luck and have fun!
Ways to learn salsa -

Check www.detroitsalsadanec.com for videos and music.

also much read for beginners - http://www.detroitsalsadance.com/beg_corner/guide.htm . This should help

The first step for “Get Set Go” in enhancing your dance is to take classes or attend special workshops that would help you learn more moves or help you improve your style and technique.

Be your Own Critic

A good way for a person to realize how they look while they are dancing is by looking at themselves (Duh…tough guess, huh). Watch yourself in a mirror or videotape yourself so that you can see what you like or dislike about your salsa dancing and work on it.

Emulate

This is no “Next Gen Technique” we all would have done it or would have to do it at some point of time, watch a dancer that you admire or you consider a very good dancer. Try to pick out his moves and try to emulate. This is an interesting challenge that you throw to your self to make your salsa time even more fun and at the same time you are improving your skills.

Pair Up

Get in touch with another person who has the same passion for salsa as you do and practice wit them.

Home alone

If you can’t find a pair, hey not a problem, you could always practice by yourself in your apartment and don’t forget the shines

Video Lessons

There are a lot of salsa instructional videos out there. Even though I personally would not suggest a beginner with a very basic knowledge of salsa to do this, I would suggest people who have a fair amount of understanding to give it a try. This way you can definitely learn more moves.

Be Yourself

On top of all the steps, style and Music sense that you learn the best thing that would make you an enhanced version of a salsa dancer is to be yourself. Throw in a piece of your own style. Let it be localized Latin, African, Indian or whatever you have.

Also don’t forget the attitude part…You are out there to have a nice time. Have that in mind that your partner is out there for the same reason also. Be nice to them and have a good time!!

Best travel advice and tips you have received?

What are some of the best pieces of travel advice and tips you have received? Sure, most people have gotten tips from friends and strangers on what to pack and what to do in a certain location but which have been extremely helpful/useful to you and that you would recommend to other people?Best travel advice and tips you have received?
try to blend with the locals. example learn a few phrases in the language, dress similarly and respect local customs.

Locals are much much more willing to help and be nice if foreigners make even the tiniest effort to speak the language same for local customs you don't want to be the ones taking pictures and stomping all over burial grounds with out realizing where you are or that taking pictures is considered very bad.

I have been to every Continent and find these 'tips' come in very helpful and are pretty universal. I discovered y tips growing up outside the USA and one could pick out a foreign er a mile away without them even speaking, their inappropriate behaviors (the burial grounds example) made it clear they were making no effort and had no idea what they were visiting.Best travel advice and tips you have received?
smile and talk to everyone

act like you are a guest in someone house (country)

obey local customs ( find out what they are!)

keep copies of all important documents

a paper copy in more than one bag

an Internet available copy on a web site or your email folder

copy some of the tiny maps from your guide book and then enlarge them on a full page. Then you can see them and be able to pull them out on the street without the whole guide book.

Try to dress like a local. You do not want to stand out as a tourist. It attracts the thieves.

Keep you important cards, money and papers under your cloths. Do not walk around with a camera strapped around your neck.

Sorry, I could go on and on. Also, have fun. No need to stress with security and what to bring along.

Most of these tips I have read about or someone told me. I have tried them and they work.

Any tips / advice on insulating a house to save on energy costs?

For the purpose of this question I an going to treat insulating and weatherproofing as the same. The first thing you should do is seal any air leaks to reduce drafts. This often means weatherstripping around doors and windows. If you have wood windows they might need reglazing. If you have single pane windows adding storm windows would make a huge difference. Replacing them with thermopane windows would make a bigger difference. As for insulation the first place to insulate is the attic. Heat rises so that's where most heat loss happens. Be careful not to interfere with the way the roof is vented. Fiberglass batts are the easiest way to insulate an attic. After the attic is insulated check the walls. If they are not insulated the way to insulate walls on an existing house is blown in . The insulator will drill holes in between each of the studs and blow cellulose or another type of insulation into the cavities. The last place to insulate is the foundation. Rigid foam is how foundations are insulated.Any tips / advice on insulating a house to save on energy costs?
Windows let alot of heat escape so if you can not replace the bad ones cover with the clear film for the Winter. Make sure your cold air returns are towards the floor and not up by the ceiling. Install strips at the bottom of doors if you feel heat escapes there. Caulk outside to windows where you see openings. Fireplaces leak alot of warmth so if you have one of those check for something to take care of this at your hardware store. Check your attic insulation and if it is low add to it to conserve heat/ energy. I always turn down my heat at noc and when I leave the house to keep the bills low. Programmable thermostates are also quite popular to control heat settings Any tips / advice on insulating a house to save on energy costs?
Weather stip around windows and doors, caulk also. I use heavy drapes on winows to keep down any drafts. You can also use those little snake things in front of doors if you get drafts there. In the winter I put covers on many of my roof vents to reduce heat loss. An easy trick to see where cold air is coming in,light a candle and slowly move it around doors, windows, electricl outlets and switches, the flame will move or go out if you have a draft. You can get little foam inserts for most outlets and lightswitch covers. Attics can almost always use a few more inches of insulation, also check vents and air ducts for leaks, they can usually be taped to seal.
Tin foil? No, just kidding! Are you in the UK? People on low income get grants for that. If not, buy the window film which traps heat, use carpets and lay underlay, use curtains with backing, as well as nets inside the window...the darker the better and keep them drawn as much as possible, use a draught excluder in front of doors and windows...you can make them yourself out of old pillows and blankets, keep doors closed to trap heat and use a warm toned, light coloured paint, especially one which is the colour of heat such as a warm orange, red or yellow!
we recently got radiant barrier put into the attic, along with an additional 5 or so inches of insulation. it's supposed to reduce energy use by 30%. b/c the attic doesn't get as hot (during summer), it means the a/c unit doesn't have to work as hard, and b/c the attic is cooler, you might not have to use the a/c at all. also is, as the name says, a radiant barrier, keeps the heat out.. and the opposite occurs in winter. (keeps warm air in)

i actually took video and interview the guys who came out and did ours, and i plan on turning it into a podcast sometime soon. contact me if you'd like to learn more about it, and i'll send you notice back when i have it uploaded online.
If you have any insulation then first start with windows and doors then add more insulation to the attic but never forget your air to air ratio to make sure your home breathes enough and keeps a steady supply of fresh air

How do i get a loan from a bank? any tips or advice?

I'm a college graduate and i need a 20k loan from the bank to get a car. my credit score was 735 the last time i checked which was almost a year ago and i've kept it clean. can i get that much money from the bank and what are the interest rates? who should i go to?How do i get a loan from a bank? any tips or advice?
It is best to get the loan from a credit union rather than a bank if you can. I've found they have lower interest rates. You can also sometimes get a quarter percent lower rate if you have auto payment on your loan ($ automatically transferred from your checking account to your loan account). I think I got a rate around 4.25%. For even more financial help check on books or kits from Suze Orman. How do i get a loan from a bank? any tips or advice?

  • Big moves out of province - tips and advice?

For anyone who has made an out of province move, I was wondering what tips and advice do you have from the experience?

I've checked out a lot of stuff on the internet about where I want to move to, just wouldn't mind hearing from first-hand experiences about making such a big move.Big moves out of province - tips and advice?
I moved my wife and three boys, ages 9, 2 and 1 from the Okanagan in B.C. to Moncton, New Brunswick. We rented a cube truck, my wife followed behind in our car, the air conditioning worked better in the truck so I took turns having one of the boys with me. We did the drive in 5 days stopping shortly after suppertime each evening. Took pictures at the signs showing each Province as we entered them. Best advice I have for you is to start each day early if heading east, once the sun is high enough not to be in your eyes and stop in the early evening. If you are heading west, stop each evening before the sun gets below your visor, nothing as tiring for you as looking into the sun. Remember to keep ALL of your receipts and you can claim them on your taxes(if you moved for a job), meals , gas, hotels, truck rental, everything during the move. Because our boys were so small, we had lots of things to keep them occupied, books, music, etc. We had long days but I tried to break them up by stopping early on 2 of the days, we wandered around old Quebec City for a few hours, Lake Superior for a few, etc. Feel free to e-mail me from my profile and I can help you plan a route if you like as I'm a long haul trucker, 30 plus years , all in Canada from coast to coast. Good luck.Big moves out of province - tips and advice?
I have moved from southern ontario to edmonton and back.

i do highly recommend a moving company to come and move your stuff. we calculated it and it was the cheapest. and most efficient as price of gas does fluctuate so much between provinces and even areas of the province (we just did the drive from here to NB and it was 96 in southern and 87 cents a litre in brockville)

other than getting movers in, we drove our car home and before my hubby drove the car out and i flew out with the baby after.
I am a former chef and moved several times from Ontario to, Alberta, B.C and Nova Scotia when in the trade, it is easier now with the internet, as the others have said if your moving alot a moving company is the best idea, my mother's brother moved from B.C to Ontario in the 80's and even shipped his car with the furniture.

I never had that problem , I was single and travelled out of a suitcase, but did ship some of my things via Greyhound bus, it takes a few days but is cheaper than a moving company if it is light non-breakable and is only enough to carry.

With inter-provincial moves, be prepared for some issues with attitudes about easterner's in the west, and the lifestyles they lead, when I went to Edmonton in 1982 and found it to be a bit to country for me, it took a while to adjust, funny though most of the people I worked with were transplanted easterners. I would if your alone, look at furnished places, there a bit more expensive but allow you to make your own choices when there, and you can always buy furniture when you have a bit saved and it is not going to be as hefty a cost in the beginning.

Can anyone give me advice or tips on how to write a song?

I am a freshman in high school and want to go to college for performing arts/music.

I want to be a singer/songwriter.. But just don't know how to write a song.

If it may effect your answer, I play piano, not guitar. Can anyone give me advice or tips on how to write a song?
When you write a song , you think about the subject you want the song to be about. You have to learn the craft of songwriting. To do that get some really good song lyrics from known hits in the genre you want. Follow the same pattern. Meaning the rhyming, what pattern of rhyming such as a,a,b,a . Which means the two lines match with the last line on your song. Google 'songwriting' tips and you can learn a lot more. You will learn about bridges, starting with the title and working from the title and stuff like that. Words are very important. Try to use words that are different from the mainstream. Good luck.

Any tips or advice for a would-be painter who's getting so frustrated they're almost ready to give up?

You are right now where EVERY ARTIST THAT EVER LIVED has been before!

    Welcome!

Whether your issue is lack of inspiration, being stuck in a rut, your work is not getting attention even though you are showing, sales are off, or you need to grow but can't afford classes right now. . . you are not alone. In fact you are in one of the largest groups there is. . . .

There are a few things you can do, depending on where your frustration lies:

    1. Rearrange your studio or area where you work.

    2. Clean out your supplies and reorganize them.

    3. Inventory your finished and unfinished works.

    4. Put away that which is frustrating you. . . even for a week. It will look fresh after you have looked at something else for a while.

    5. Try a new medium or a new method with your current medium.

    6. Try a different style.

    7. Use a color that you never use as your dominant color . . . this can work!

    8. Change your subject matter for a day or two.

    9. Go to a few museums or shows.

    10. Join a painting group.

    11. Teach someone what you know.

    12. Enter a show, even if you never have before. Seeing one of your best on the wall with other works can do great things for the ego and the creativity.

I know I look forward to reading the other suggestions you get too. I get stuck often. . . . and I am ALWAYS frustrated!Any tips or advice for a would-be painter who's getting so frustrated they're almost ready to give up?
Life is frustrating persevere don't be a wuss.

Are you frustrated with your abilities Practice and Patience you will get better

Are you frustrated with venue to show your art hustle hustle hustle its up to you to find your audience.

Are you frustrated with the medium Hey you bought the paints use them like you want break the rules. Be Safe some paints are toxic.

Painting is all on you there is very little if no support for your hard work. Get to know the other painters in your area they are the only friends who will relate to what you go through.

Get an art education because that is where you learn to think about and focus your creative energy.

Lastly focus this frustration into your work the results will be a learning experience in understanding the emotions a painter goes through to create a master piece.

Good Luck and Please don't give up if this is your passion find the strength to work harder.Any tips or advice for a would-be painter who's getting so frustrated they're almost ready to give up?
Art can take MANY forms. Maybe you are better looking through a lens. Perhaps sculpting would work. Metal art is interesting.

Ceramics might work for you. There are SO many options to let your creative juices flow. Explore them.
Never give up. Remember it is all technique you will learn. Start with your brushes. Experiment with the strokes they make. Keep at it.
Maybe painting's not your forte. Have you tried another medium?
Explore other options. I gave up painting and became a carpenter. I love it!

Starting a new veggie garden in ok,any tips or advice would be helpful?

best varieties of vegetables to grow in northeast Oklahoma, when to plant, very new to this so any help possibleStarting a new veggie garden in ok,any tips or advice would be helpful?
I remember starting my first garden --- exciting Huh? Now is the time to start. Choose your plot. Be sure it's not close to trees and close to a water source. Beg, borrow or rent a tiller and break up the plot to rid it of grass/weeds. If you have a source of manure try to put about 3'; of it on your tilled area and till it in. This amended soil will rest over winter. If you are real interested you could get a PH test of your soil so you would know what it needs to balance out the nutrients. Next spring or even now you should talk to either a local plant nursery or a local gardener to find out what's best to plant in your area. If you order from seed catalogs make sure the plant is suitable for your area and DO NOT order or plant tons of stuff you wont use and can't give a way. An ounce of most seed is more than plenty. Gardeners love to talk shop so find you one and make a new friend. Good LuckStarting a new veggie garden in ok,any tips or advice would be helpful?
I agree with snoop. I save lrge Tide bottles or fabric softner bottles , poke holes in the bottom and sides, bury them up to the neck, fill with water. It's a great way to get water directly to the roots. I do this for my tomatoes, peppers, anything that grows above ground. You want the roots to grow deep not shallow. If you only water the top. the roots will go up to the water. and you have to keep watering them for them to survive. But deep roots will stay moist and cool longer and produce better Good luck gardening
Plant in spring harvest in fall.

Horse People, Tips, Advice or Just Cool Home Remedies For Horse Related Things?

I thought it would be neat for everyone to share their secrets with cheap ways to do things at home or just interesting tips for showing. For Example:

    1. I use Iodine on my horses feet to strengthen them

    2. You can use hair spray to stick your western hat to your head at a horse show

    3. You can spray hair spray on your horses back in the bareback class to help you stay on

    4. Use baby oil on your horses face at shows to make him glow!

Lets share some secrets!Horse People, Tips, Advice or Just Cool Home Remedies For Horse Related Things?
Not exactly a home remedy, but some years ago on a Saturday morning, I went up to the stable and found my Arab covered with hives!!!! The poor beastie was a patchwork of swellings from his neck to his tail.

He was obviously uncomfortable but not in severe distress. I called my vet immediately, panicky because of the extent of the hives. Once my vet established that my horse wasn't having trouble breathing and that the hives were just swellings, not weeping serum or rubbed raw and open, he gave me two choices:

    1. Have him come down to the stable to treat my horse. He told me he'd charge me a $75 emergency call, probably $25-50 for shots and medication, plus anything for tests that was required. Or....

    2. Alternatively, he told me to go to the drugstore and buy a pack of Contac allergy capsules, and give eight of them to my horse, wait half an hour to see if this had any affect on the hives, and then call him back.

I was flabbergasted. ';Contac? Do you mean like for people, just the normal people Contac capsules?'; I asked him.

He told me that was exactly what he meant. He told me it didn't sound like my horse was in such extreme condition that he needed to come out right that second, but it was certainly my choice and if I wanted him to come out, he would.

I decided to try the Contac capsules. They were little gelatin capsules filled with tiny pills. I took eight of them apart, poured the little pills into a good portion of bran that I mixed with warm water and a LOT of molasses, and fed this to my horse. I guess my horse wasn't feeling too awful because he ate it right up.

And I'll be darned if within 15-20 minutes the hives didn't start to fade away, and within half an hour or so they were all gone!!! I called the vet back and told him, and he laughed at my surprise and told me he thought that the Contac would work, and now he didn't have to cancel his golf game.

I think I paid about $2.50 for the Contac, which was pretty good compared with a $100 vet bill.Horse People, Tips, Advice or Just Cool Home Remedies For Horse Related Things?
Cool tips, I love these :D :) I have a couple of books that are great for this - 201 tips for horses, and 201 more tips for horses. The title is something like that.

Vinegar is supposed to be a great fly repellent, although I haven't tried it yet.

You can cut the top of the squash bottle off diagonally to create a feed scoop.

Cheap washing up bowls are good for feed bowls, and easy to clean too.

Tea tree oil (undiluted) is great for healing open wounds, or cuts.

EDIT: Also, if you forget your scissors, then use a string of baling twine and use in a sawing motion through the twine on your hay bale to cut through it.

  • Raven possibly ill, any tips or advice welcome?

I have found a small raven chick that's barely able to fly next to a garbage can, it doesn't seem to be incapable of flying, but that's probably because of its young age. I have taken it into my home without too much of a hassle, i've given it some water and seeds, but it won't touch them, probably out of fear. Also, it seems to be exhausted, as it falls asleep the instant it's left alone. Is it sick? Also, what safety precautions should i consider while handling it? Besides avian flu.Raven possibly ill, any tips or advice welcome?
If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly. You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it. If it is unfeathered...then look for a nest and if you can find it...replace it into the nest. Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched. If you cannot find a nest, get the bird to a local wildlife rehab for it's best chance of survival. Also, keep in mind, it is illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own. Look for a rehab here:

    http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.鈥?/a>

If this bird is injured in any way it should also go to a rehab. You cannot get avian flu from this bird either.

I am going to have sex for the first time soon. Any advice/tips?

I need advice as such as what to expect, or how to make it more enjoyable for her. I am a boy.I am going to have sex for the first time soon. Any advice/tips?
SO.......many things to share with a first timer. #1 your going to want to explode asap, don't do it if you want to enjoy it. Don't be afraid to back off and say wow we gotta slow down cause I want this to last. HAHA isn't that great advice, I know I went like in 5 minutes and was like, its over? HAHA in the back of the mini-van, good times when I was 16.

#2 don't be afraid to lick that.....you know...check out some porno and get some technique, if you get her good she will keep cumin back just for that, I promise.

#3 if your on top put a pillow underneath the crest on her lower back. Once again, trust me on this its good.

#4 Condoms are good practice but the mouth is a much higher quality receptacle. I don't know if you can convince her of that but boy if you can, HAHA, talk about making your toes curl!

This is fun, you must not have many guy friends who have had sex cause these are no brainers!I am going to have sex for the first time soon. Any advice/tips?
The best advice I can give you is DON'T!!!

But if you are going to, be safe use protection! That is one thing that will make her comfortable, because she will know you care about yourself enough and her enough to wrap it up. Also, take your time. Don't rush, and pay attention to her body, and her responses to your actions. Listen to her body, if she likes it do it more, don't over do it. If she doesn't like it, never ever do it again, and above all even though its your first time, try to make sure you last long enough to pleasure her or it may be the end of your very short sex life. No pressure! =)
If you are not married to her, you will regret not being able to give yourself to your wife without comparing your wife to your prior lover(s). The beauty of love without regrets should be preserved for marriage. That does not mean that love cannot be good after sex outside of marriage, only that you will always have regrets that you did not wait. You will love your wife, but you will always compare her to the others. That is not fair to her.
You need to get her wet first for lubrication. Great ways to turn on a girl is to kiss her neck, and neck bone. Let your breath slowly hit her there, and maybe chew gently on her neck. Another thing you could do is start with some foreplay. Play with her ****, lick chew...be creative. You could also eat her out. Stick your tongue up there and spin it around. After she's wet stick it in gently and slowly. Then take gentle but firm thrusts at a constant rate. You want to make sure she cums before you...the hardest part. If you're doing the work you get the advantage you can slow down if you think your going to blow, is she's doing the work she'll keep going and you got to bite your lip clench and hope you don't *** early. If you can *** before you have sex and think you can go again, do that...you'll last longer.
Well, for one, I hope that she is a virgin as well as you are. For that is something you can't get back.

The first time, it is going to be a new experience for you. As some of the others have said, take it a bit slow at first, and yes, be passionate. Let your partner know, that they are loved, and you care for who they are, not what they have.

The first time for a girl, may be a bit painful, as perhaps her hymen (AKA: cherry) may break. For some girls, that is more painful than others, or so I've heard.

Play some music in which you are both into. I wouldn't say the radio, but maybe off your media player/itunes/Zune/iPod/MP3 player on some speakers, though not too loudly to make it a bit more comfortable. (My girlfriend and I have a few songs, in which we consider our 'sex songs').

If this is her first time, she probably won't be expecting things from you such as oral first. Though, it may make things a bit more comfortable if you touch one another first. So that you both can explore each other.

I hope you both enjoy this new experience.

Just do yourself, and herself a big favor, and get a condom. (I recomend the Male condom=as they have the highest percentage of keeping her from getting pregnant)

As my dad told me: ';The mother of your child, will ALWAYS be the mother of your child.
Buy condoms. Ultra thins cause you wanna feel as much as possible for your first time. Believe me when I say that you finish fast, probably within the first 30 seconds. You might be embarrassed but trust me it's normal. After you ejaculate for the time, take your condom off wipe yourself off, and go pee(this is done to clean out your urethra of any sperm left). Wash your self. Give yourself like 10 minutes and have her give you oral. The second time around you'll last alot longer and she'll thank you for finishing so quickly the first time. Also you last longer if your laying on your back and she's on top and practice putting on a condom and ejaculating into it so that you get a feel for it. Enjoy your-self and enjoy her. There is only one first time
    FOREPLAY FOREPLAY FOREPLAY...

sex is like running a marathon... you need to warm up... kissing, touching, going down on each other and getting each other in the mood is a great way to become relaxed. if it is her first time too, be careful. She will be much more tense then you. make sure you wear a condom and assure her during sex, simple questions like... ';are you alright, do you want me to keep going'; will show her that you care, and that you want to make sure that she is ready. if she says she wants to stop... THEN STOP, because anything after that is perceived as rape.

    some tips...

*put some music on, something light but fun... make a playlist, with some of your fave songs on... eg: wonderwall by oasis and 3am by matchbox 20... songs similar to these

*if you both decide to completely naked, DONT stare at her body.. it will make her feel self concious, even if she has a body like elle macpherson.

*once its all over, just lay there for a couple of mins... 5-10 mins usually, just lay in the silence with your arm around her and let her nestle in your arms, kiss her forehead, you have both just overcome a milestone, bathe in the sweetness.

*it wont feel that good on either of your ends... just relax, the less tense you are, the better it will be for both of you.

    GOOD LUCK!
haha well i agree with the first two answers. however, i realize the punishment for my sins and I'm always asking for forgiveness.........but anyways...so sex for the first time huh.....Im a guy and my first sex experience was an interesting one. I snook into the girls house with her mom asleep in the next room and i had just met her a day before at taco bell. i would suggest having music that both of you like and i would also suggest spermacidal condoms. lube would also be helpful too. going slow is a must and try not to freak out you may begin to bleed.
Well if she is a virgin take it slow as ****, you don't want blood all over your dick. My tips are keep it passionate kiss her like crazy while you do it maybe move down her body with your lips. Kind of bite her bottom lips but don't make it bleed %26lt;(^_^)%26gt; Don't make it seem like you just wanna **** and go home make her want it again. Take your time though depending if she can last longer go slower.
get the right hole , use protection , get some lubricant or if you want to save money butter works . choke the chicking before having sex you will last longer , have a shower or bath before and after sex , and don't have to much to drink or you may not get it up :)
start off slow with lots of foreplay. this will give you guys time to think first and make sure you are ready and also gives you clues on what she will like. be very gentle to her because if it is her first time too just know that it will hurt her so keep that in mind. if she pull away stop and give her time. after the first few mins yall will enjoy it! REMEMBER: ALWAYS USE PROTECTION!!!!!!!
its not fun at all the first time, just had mine a couple days ago. it hurts realy bad for the girl and she';ll prolly tell you to stop. youll hava hard time finding it because shes a virgin, and its more work than fun. also, wear a condom!!!
try different positions to vary it up, go down on her, DONT ask her to go down on you. if she's comfortable with it, she will. lube is always fun, and playing music is always a plus. not porno music, just something you're both into. good luck ;]
you need to be very aware of how SHE is feeling. so that you can make it more enjoyable for her, and less painful. and just be yourself
Kissing on the lips is nice. But there's another kiss-spot she'll like even more. Take your time. Provide lubrication--just in case. And, of course, PROTECTION. Most of all, have fun!
don;t listen to what them other people are saying yes you have to use a condom but don't do it if you don't want to do it ... when you are ready!!!!
Just relax, dont think too much while your doing the deed, and have fun..its okay to have a few laughs the first time.. =) it will only get better.. hope i helped!
do the girl a favor that she isnt doing herself: dont do it.

she couild get pregnant and it would ruin a lot of things.

unless ur married but u rnt r u?
Don't expect much, its going to be short and awkward, and painful for her.

    Wrap it up!!!
Wait dude I lost my virginity and to a girl I didnt care for and wish I could change it make sure shes special and treat her that way.
Sounds Like You Have This Like..Written Down On A Calender Or Something....

Use Condoms, Know If She's On Birth Control Or Anything Like That....

    Just BE CAREFUL!
uhm, use protection, and dont push her if you feel she's feeling uncomfortable...
its not a good idea to do it if your not married to her. god will punish whoever does it before marriage. its a sin.
use a condom and yes precum can get her pregnant.
go slow. like your rhythm. haha.
    first time... never fun

e-mail me or IM me... ill go into detail.. not in a sick way but some of the stuff they dont allow on here... haha

Hi, does anyone have advice/tips on removing condensation between the panes/cavity in double glazed windows?

It's goosed. Get a new unit. The condensation will eventually dry leaving a crystalline deposit. And there ain't nothing you can do about it.Hi, does anyone have advice/tips on removing condensation between the panes/cavity in double glazed windows?
It means the seals on your window are broken and the windows are no good anymore.Hi, does anyone have advice/tips on removing condensation between the panes/cavity in double glazed windows?
If there's condensation between the sheets then there's a leak, which means the windows have met their timely end.

You can get them re-sealed (by a professional), or replace them entirely, whichever suits you best.
Unfortunately, the pane of glass must be replaced. The seal has been broken. The condensation will eventually dry out on it's own, but the reason for this condensation will still exist and the glass will not be clear. Joie de la Vie has suggested you take a blow dryer to the window. I'm afraid it's not that simple. Especially with cold weather, you will end up cracking the glass. At least you can get through the winter and worry about it next summer. Some of these do not have to be replaced right away. You can go several years with them. But will eventually crack on their own over time, which is what happened to ours. We had them, (several panes with a broken seal), replaced slowly. So we did not feel the pinch. We did not have to install a new window. Even the more newer Low E Argon Gas windows have this problem. But most companies will give a lifetime guaranty.
sorry but it just cant be done
your advice is in the Q, the condensation is there because the seal has been broken and you will always have dampness until summer.

remove the window in the slider and take to window shop that does duallys.

or purchase a retro-fit window new and replace.
You could try taking out the glass panel which is only kept in place with moulding. Then use a hot hairdrier to dry out window then reseal all around the edged of the pane with silicone and re-fit.

If this does not work you would have take it to a glazer to re-seal or buy a nes unit. It might be cheaper to buy a new unit just like when the head gasket in a car goed it is not always a success to have it re-done
Agreed, goosed, You should be able to replace the glass pane much cheaper than having to spend money on a whole new frame though.
It is not ';goosed'; and it is also unlikely that the seals on the windows are bad.

When a double glazed window is assembled, there is a dessicant (moisture absorber) in the bottom of the channel separating the two panes. Over time, this dessicant has absorbed all it can - this is why you have condensation.

A single pane has an R-value of about 1. A double pane is about 2.3, so it is only a cosmetic problem.

I was at a seminar over the summer and the speaker stated that there is a new process under evaluation by the U.S. Dept. of Energy that would correct this problem. When doing so, an approved tech would drill into the pane, dry out the area between the two panes, and add more dessicant to the bottom of the window.

There may be a limited number (or only one) person in your entire vicinity that can do this. There isn't that much demand for it because so much of the public believes that the windows need to be replaced and there's more money in replacement windows, so I wouldn't expect too many of your window guys to learn how to do this.

Check out this website to learn more and to find a local company that can do this.
I would say the majority of the answers above are wrong and i wonder if the answerers have ever tried to fix a condensting DG unit.

EDIT: I've notices several people seem to have success with the same method as me, there you go, what can you loose ?

I've seen this once, and assumed the pain seal was broke and i'd need a new window pane.

    But actually, i cured it.

Heat the room up, warm the flass gentle with a hair dryer.

The condensation went away, 2 years ago, and hasn't come back.
    Impossible I am afraid
You need a new unit, the seal has gone, this happened to us, its not too expensive to get a new one.
if you dont have much cash and need a quick fix til you can fix properly

warm up the room (i hope all the windows are not doing this ! ?)

as i said warm up the room take a hair dryer and hold about 12-18 inchs away from window this will take some time.......

I had to do this to mine last year,,,,,It will take awhile, and yes heat does cause condinsation but it will%26lt;dry the moisture up enough that you can apply window chaulking this will help keep any more from getting in and by drying what IS ALREADY in there your doing the you can

for a quick fix.....................This is not perminent..........................

but i,m having pretty good luck with mine....(fingers crossed now )lal good luck
sorry, but when a sealed unit fails it gone for good. The only thing you can do is to take them to a glass merchant to have them split and re-sealed, but this will cost as much if not more than new units. New units cost around 拢30 + VAT per m2, for normal 4mm glass and 拢45 per m2 for toughened glass.

Going to paris, please need lots of tips and advice HELP?

Are french people wierd to tourists?

    Should i learn french?

Where are some great places to go?

How much time would you reckon to go for?

Thanks guys, best answer will get ten points!Going to paris, please need lots of tips and advice HELP?
I found you might need a bit of French under your belt....I took it for around a year at school and this was useful.....although people still spoke in words I had no idea about at times! So just smile and nod and move on......

I spent 5 nights in Paris and found that a good length of time to see the main sites....but there is still quite a bit to see and do.

Places I liked were Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle ( stained glass is wow!), the Louvre....boy is that big!, Eiffel tower...hey its corny but you gotta say you went up it...Arc de Triomphe ( great views), Sacre Couer ( again great views), Pare Lechaise cemetary....its really interesting with lots of famous people buried there like Jim Morrison, Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, Chopin....free entry from memory but you can buy a map at the entrances.

Versailles was worth a look....its actually quite empty inside. I went on a half day tour ( eg viator) and our tour leader was great at telling us the background and I got a lot more out of it than my sister who went and thought...what the hey?....but its pretty ginormous.

There are lots of parks and museums ( you can get a museum pass if you want to go to a few and it can save waiting in long queues especially for the Louvre..you just go into the pre paid one...if you have bought your ticket already... I remember you could buy them from lots of places around the city).

Get a good book and look in it beforehand to see whats there. There is a LOT to see and do and its worth getting your head around it and go in with open eyes.Going to paris, please need lots of tips and advice HELP?
Buy the Eyewitness tourbook for Paris. It gives a great overview of the city and details on the sights. Depending how deluxe you want to be. I suggest staying in a cheap clean hotel near a metro station. I stayed in a hotel across the street from the Gare du Nord. The room was tiny. but the beds were comfortable. and I was near a bakery wine store and two good restaurants. It was called like Hotel du Nord I think...or like Hotel Gare du nord. It would be good if you learned a few vital phrases in french but, if you stay near most of the tourist areas you should be fine. Almost every restaurant waiter that I dealt with spoke english. It would also be good if you knew your numbers so when you pay for stuff. I was there for four days and it was fantastic. Versailles and the gardens there are a must if you are there in th summer!

    Glad to be of help!
I have always heard that the French would be rude to tourists, particularly Americans. But when I was in Paris, I only met maybe one or two people who were rude. A couple were rather indifferent, but most were generally very warm and friendly.

Learning basic French would definitely be helpful, but if you're in the big touristy areas you'll do just fine only knowing English. Many restaurants have English menus, and many will speak to you in English. Of course, you should say ';Merci'; and ';Excusez-moi'; to be polite.

I was there for 10 days, and it was very long...but very short, at the same time. I was very homesick, so the last few days after we'd seen the ';main'; things were very difficult on me as I just wanted to get home. But at the same time, I wish I'd stayed longer and just wandered and experienced more.

I loved the Louvre, definitely go to that. The Eiffel Tower, of course...oh, and go to the Catacombs if you can. I wanted to, but they were closed and I was so mad about that. Sacre Couer is amazing, too. Ride the metro, I just found that so much fun. Walk down by the Seine, definitely. At the end of the Garden des Tuilieries there is an amazing place to get crepes, definitely get one there!
The French are generally indifferent to tourists.

Yes, you should learn French although you'll do perfectly well even if you don't.

Any good guide book will list all the famous sights.

A trip of at least ten days is best.

Thinkin bout takin up Joggin or Running for fitness and want some tips/advice?

currently i dont go 2 the gym coz i cant afford it

i use the Wii-Fit and i do a dance work-out DVD once or twice a week

am thinking bout taking up jogging or running to help me get fit and lose a bit of weight (and maybe get into charity races like RFL when im good enuff)

can anyone give me some advice on how to get started?Thinkin bout takin up Joggin or Running for fitness and want some tips/advice?
I suggest taking a slow approach to running. Get a goal in mind of what you want to do and set out to do so. When I first started, I'd run a block, if I had to walk it I did. Once I could go around the block without feeling like I was about to die, I'd go around two blocks and so forth.. I went every other day and slowly built up. Í haven't had one injury and i believe it's bc I believe more about listening to your body than doing what some set plan is on the internet.

Breathing believe it or not while running isn't as natural as one may think, it takes a bit to find the breathing method that works for you.. If you have a hard time breathing, stop until your breathing gets back in check. It may take a while to fully breathe comfortable

    http://www.livestrong.com/video/2712-bre…

Stretching--I stretch just 10 mins before going out and when I first started running a year ago I'd stretch 10 mins after. You don't want to over work your muscles and over stretch them before running.

Drink water through out the day that way you won't need anything before a run. If you drink/eat wait at least one hour before heading out. Rushing a drink of water or a breakfast too quickly you'll be asking for cramps and side stitches.. I haven't had one stitch or cramp and I usually try to get up at 6 am for running and I don't eat or drink anything prior.

Shoes--they're your key equipment so get fitted at sports store and be prepared to spend good money on them. By cheapening up or wearing the wrong shoes will result in shin splints and other problems.

    http://www.asicsamerica.com/sports/runni…

I'm not into the clique-y thing of running gear, I wear what's comfortable. Cotton shorts/pants and t's and tanks. I do have invested a good winter coat when I'm running in -20's and I have a good rain coat but that is all I have. Nothing fancy, just comfort.

Best approach to running is to realize that it doesn't matter how skinny or how in shape you think you are. Running is about the mind and whether or not you can psych yourself into running and eventually loving to run. The body getting in shape is just the result of running. But you need to tell yourself that you can do it and not give up.

Have fun with running as well, don't take it seriously and just relax.

Good luck!!Thinkin bout takin up Joggin or Running for fitness and want some tips/advice?
Start off slow, don't go out there thinking you have to run really fast to get a workout. You need to get used to running before you can start pushing yourself. So run an average mileage per day, 3 miles to start.

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday - 3 miles at a comfortable pace, not too fast, not too slow.

Thursday - one mile, but do it kind of fast so you are breathing heavy and sweating. You need to get a real workout then. (Don't go too fast and make it so you can't finish though).

Friday - Do a long run, like 5 miles. The long run has to be very very slow because it's a recovery run, not a run to push yourself.

This schedule should get you into good shape. It worked wonders for me. If you need to find a place to run that is the right distance go to www.mapmyrun.com you should be able to figure it out from there. E-mail me if you want to know more details.
first of all, dont spend a ton of money on running sneakers, i run track and i buy my sneakers at payless. just go there and look at the brand champion they have the best. another thing is take your time when running. plan days to go shorter distances and then other days for longer distances. running these shorter distances will help you in the long run so you have more endurance. also start off running about a mile and work your way up to about 3 miles and so on. do all of your stretching first and after you run as well. hope that helps
go to a track b/c those are usally free to go to... drink a lot a water before a run, that helps me keep good stamina and eat a decent amount of food a breakfast but not too much... dont drink milk tho cuz that makes ppl sick... have the right mindset when you are running and when you are running long distances and u get tired, just keep saying to yourself, i can do this its gonna be over soon. pain is just weakness leaving the body :)
First of all, start off on a slow running plan. I am on week three of this one and it's really been working for me - try http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/news/article.asp?UAN=30

    Good luck and have fun!
I can highly recommend this book:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zest-Running-Mad…
depends on how much time you have. try only drinking water, and running a couple of miles/per day during the week then extra length of time on saturday and take sunday off .
well you can start by planing out like what days im going to run and how long and what your going to eat
Get some decent joggers and a really good bra. Otherwise you'll end up a bad back/hips/legs/feet and saggy boobs.
    three things:

    * gear

    * dicipline

    * posture

    gear

right shoes. if you do not wear the right shoes, you will hurt your feet, knees, ankles, hips.... you name it. get your shoes fitted at a sports store. you need to get the right arch support. you need the right kind of shoe for the surface you will run on. road/gravel/offroad, etc.

jacket - get a light, windproof jacket to keep you warm, you will catch all kinds of illness if you let your chest get cold.

shorts - if you are a little overweight, i would suggest investing in some cycling shorts, as your legs will chafe with normal poly shorts. that is not pleasant at all.

    dicipine -

you need to do what you need to do. every day.

you have to get up early even if you dont want to. you have to put in the miles even if you are tired/irritated/hung over. if you dont, you will never get anywhere.

    posture -

this sounds silly, but if you have bad posture, you will struggle and suffer. sit up straight, walk upright. dont slouch, run with your shoulders back. keep your diafram open. why?

if your body is straight, you can breathe easier, if you breathe easier, more oxygen gets to your blood, and your muscles work better. result - less pain.

start easy, get a calender. for your first week, run two miles daily. three miles the next week. keep going untill you can do 10 miles a day. then rotate your days, to keep your body responsive. 12 one day, 8 another, 15 the next, etc.

please remember to warm up and stretch first. very important.

keep up general fitness with a 10 odd mile a day. if you are training for a marathon, you need to run at least twice the distance of that race per week. for eg, you are running a 30 mile race. then your need to do on average 9 miles a day. this you need to achieve at least a month before the race. a few days before the race, stop training. give your body time to prep.

eat healthy. stay away from fatty stuff. the fitter you get, your body will tell you what it needs.

    good luck.

I WANT TO HELP New Orleans Homeless? Advice/ Tips?

I want to start a fundraiser to raise money for New Orleans Homeless Residents. I read that most of these people were homeless pre- katrina. I wanted to get some advice / tips on starting a fundraiser. All advice is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

By the way , I live in Houston TX. I want to raise the money here in Texas.I WANT TO HELP New Orleans Homeless? Advice/ Tips?
Please donate to Covenant House rather than to ';New Orleans Homeless';. Covenant House helps homeless New Orleans children, while almost all of the ';homeless'; adults one sees on the street are derelicts from somewhere else.

http://www.covenanthouseno.org/I WANT TO HELP New Orleans Homeless? Advice/ Tips?
I will donate to your cause as soon as the government stops stealing my hard-earned money.
I admire your concern to help those that need it within our own borders. There are many people hurting right here in the US. I can't agree with this need to help people in Darfur,Bangladesh,Africa and on and on when there are needs to be bet here before we have to go beyond our own borders. The victims of Catrina,Rita, fires, floods and other natural disasters need our help also.If there wasn't such concern to go abroad with volunteering, these people would've been closer to their normal lives. We need to take care of our own FIRST.

Does anyone have any tips, advice and stories about their baby teething.?

My wife and I are exhuasted. Our baby girl, 5 1/2 months is teething and she is not sleeping well. What did you all do? Did you let her sleep with you to help soothe her? I know some people consider that a sin, but we both work and need sleep. I am looking for some advice and stories.

She is a great little girl usually. Smilling, giggles, but this has changed her, espically at night. She doesn't eat as much, has a runny nose, and just seems out of it.Does anyone have any tips, advice and stories about their baby teething.?
Baby Tylonel and a cold washcloth to chew on. Confort her as much as possible, it is a tough time babies go through.

Sleeping with you ocassionally is fine as long as it does not become a habit because then you will never get her out of your bed.Does anyone have any tips, advice and stories about their baby teething.?
I used to give my children frozen waffles when they were teething. They were'nt as messy as those teething biscuits or graham crackers.

If they were very young i would cut into halves or quarters so they could hold then easily.

Sounds normal %26amp; you will get some sleep eventually.
The Hyland's Teething tablets are really great. A cold metal spoon (I used to keep a glass of them in the fridge) is a soothing relief. And an old remedy that my grandmother, myself, and my daughter all used. Dip your finger in whiskey and rub it on the area where the gum is swollen. But NEVER give a child alcohol to drink. It will ruin his/her liver. Just a drop on the gum is something that will last for hours. Brandy would work too but whiskey is the better pain killer. You would only do this once or twice in a day.

I had the best all around results with Hyland's Teething Tablets. They go under the tongue and melt instantly. They taste like a little drop of sweet milk. You can get them at any natural foods store and they work in just a minute or two. They will also reduce the child's need for comfort. You know, that ';pick me up because I'm cranky'; and then the half a minute later ';ok, now put me down because I can't decide if I want you to hold me or not'; thing they can go through when teething. The teething tablets will also help with acid poo, sniffles, tugging ears, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, and whining which can accompany teething.

My 3 daughters also used Hyland's for the pain of getting in their wisdom teeth as teens/adults.

They are natural, non-narcotic, and homeopathic which has been quite valuable for a plethora of problems with not only infants and children but adults as well. I have used homeopathic remedies for over 35 years with great success from teething, colic, to sniffles, pain, and grief over the death of my mother (Ignatia Amara for grief).
Sounds normal..i let my son sleep with me when he was teething.. try a clod wash clothe. and i also gave my son Hylands teething tablets..there safe for baby's 3 months and older..they worked amazing.. Good luck..wish you the best. You also could try Tylenol and baby orgel..
Hang in there! She sounds like she's a textbook case of teething. I gave my son some pain releiver and Ambisol on his gums right before bed and he slept for the better part of the night.

When she's crying and fussing, just think about the smiles and giggles you have with her when she's happy. The teeth will come in soon and you won't have to worry about it anymore!
well to help her teething don't put orjel cuz it really doesn't help. it slow the tooth from growing thats what my dentist told me. he said to buy her a vibrating toy that she could put in her mouth if not give her a ice pop. that will help it feel better. texture toy are also good.
teething tablets the brand is hylands. they are all natural so you can give them to your baby often. there are teething biscuits that are nice but messy! try different things you will find what works best for your baby. some teeth are more painful then others so it shouldn't always be this hard!

I'm planning on getting a hamster, any advice or tips?

On Sept.26th I'm going to get a hamster, probably male, maybe syrian or chinese dwarf. I might get two, but, I just need good advice on food and holding him and just general tips, but no links.I'm planning on getting a hamster, any advice or tips?
Okay, I'm not sure if you already know this because your post isn't very clear but only Russian or Chinese dwarfs can live in pairs, if you want to buy two Syrians they must have one cage each.

Now let's see, other than custom-made hamster food and treats you can give him small portions of fresh fruit and veg, but don't give him too much or he may get diarrhoea from it and he needs fresh water too, you'll need to change it every other day.

He'll need an exercise wheel, metal ones are best because hamsters can chew through plastic ones but you may need to oil it (with sunflower or olive oil so it won't hurt him if he swallows any) to prevent annoying squeaking.

You can buy other toys as well but I would recommend you don't waste the money, in my experience hamsters tend to ignore them.

Leave him to settle in for a couple of days before you try to handle him, then gently pick him up in both hands and try stroking him, you should do this sitting on the floor so if he leaps out of your hands he won't fall very far.

Don't worry if he bites; he's just nervous, put him back in the cage and try again the following day, he'll soon get used to you.

Once he's happy to be handled, try holding him on flat palms and putting one hand in front of the other over and over again so he can run from hand to hand, hamsters enjoy this.

You can also try teaching him to climb the stairs, if he doesn't want to, don't try and force him. But if he does enjoy climbing, you'll be surprised how quickly he can make it up the whole flight once he's had a bit of practice.

You'll need to change his sawdust and bedding and scrub out the corners of his cage once a week, make sure you buy a suitable cage-cleaning product from the pet shop, you don't want to poison him.

You could also buy a ball for him to run around the house in whilst you're cleaning his cage.

As for names, I would recommend you buy him first, it's easier to think of a suitable name when you've seen what he actually looks like.

Good luck.I'm planning on getting a hamster, any advice or tips?
    Oooh! I love hamsters, me!

Anyway, if you want more than 1 hamster in the same cage, go with Russian Dwarfs, you put two syrians in together you are going to have a blood bath!

They eat obviously the food you buy from the pet shop- don't feed them too many sun flower seeds though, other wise they will get chubby! Make sure they get plenty of fruit and vegetables in their diet too to keep them healthy and happy! They need a wheel to run around in and plenty of enrichment (things to do) in their cage. Make sure you buy a cage that is big, but has a small gap between the bars if you are going with a small breed. I found out they can squeeze pretty well!

When you hold them- you can pick them up by the scruff of the neck, or gently around the middle. Remember that hammies organs will be delicate, so don't squeeze too hard. When you are holding him, make sure it is over a table in case you drop him or he makes a run for freedom.

For bedding use sawdust, with maybe shredded newspaper for them to sleep in if you want to be more environmentally friendly!

And as for names, here is a list of all the names we used for our male hamsters!

    Honey

    Gizmo

    Rocky

    Casper

    Skeiter

    Ruff

    Scruff

Holly (The pet shop said it was a girl....)

    Herbie

    Tutter

Munch(I didn't use this name, but it is still cute!)

syrian hamsters are solitary animals most the time...don't get two of those...chinese dwarfs can live together though.

unless the pet shops been handling them you might get a few bites at first, I suggest you get gardening gloves of you plan to hold it. when you first get it, make sure you have the cage set up with the wood shaving, wood gnaws, food bowls, water bottle, somewhere to hide or sleep and some fluff for it to make a bed with. allow it to walk from the box to the cage without being touched and you should then leave it alone for 24 hours to get used to its new home.

when you start taming it give it little bits or food through the bars of the cage...watch you fingers. then move onto putting your hand in with food on it and allowing the hamster to walk onto your hand, don't pick it up to fast, and only hold it over your lap so you don't drop it and hurt it.
Apparently dwarfs can be hostile with both humans and each other. Syrians seem to be more domesticated. Get two males; less trouble. Feed with normal hamster mix that you can buy in any pet shops and feed with small bits of carrot every other day. Hamsters take food into their pouches and occasionally hide it in the sawdust but this doesn't mean they have enough food. I thought this when I was young and my hamster starved...ahem. Make sure you have plenty of water and a wheel for them and try to bring them out for a play every evening. Do not put them on high up surfaces though. My hamster once dropped off a high table. Create a little sectioned off area on the floor with video tapes or something and let them crawl through toilet paper tubes and little boxes. Secure the cage well; they're excellent escape artists. Do not wake them when they're asleep; they don't like it and it mucks up their sleeping patterns. Clean the cage out once a week.

Not sure about names but I myself fancy comical human names for pets like Claude or Bryan.
Female hamsters are easier to find...

Well make sure that he is in a cage that he cant get out and be you have a back-up plan for if he ever does get. If he does don't panic just look for him check everywhere you can possibly be.

when holding him make sure when you first get him that your fingers are away from his mouth until he gets a little more trained and such.

When I had a hamster I always gave her dandelions as a treat sometimes. My hamsters didn't really like pellets I don't know why they never ate them. OH! and even tho his bowl is empty doesn't mean you should refill it right away because Hamsters like to store away food.

You may not want to name him now, wait til you get him and study his personality and then think of a name. I remember I had 3 hamsters Honshu, Snarf and Spaz
    At first he's not really going to want to be held because he's scared, but don't let this discourage you. You've gotta keep trying hold him at least once a day or he'll never get used to it. One very important thing with a hamster is to watch his bottom for wetness. If his butt is wet, he has a disease called wet tail that is very fatal to them. For food, really any store bought mix is fine, although for treats they like broccoli,carrots, lettuce, basically any green veggie. I dunno I think cute names for hamsters are like ';Hammy'; or ';Mr. Hamster.'; Maybe ';Hamlet';
Hamsters like to eat fruits! Carrots are one of their favourites as well. To hold your hamster, reach out your palm first. Let your hamster sniff it. Don't be scared and don't pull your hand away. Let your hamster climb onto your palm. Slowly, put your other hand like a wall around your hamster, or you can choose to put the other hand on top of it, something like a hamburger. It helps to make it feel secure. You should play with it everyday at least for an hour. You can make lots of handmade toys out of cardboard boxes, toilet rolls, etc. Hamsters love to go through tunnels. If you can't afford to buy tunnels from pet shops then just make your own out of toilet rolls!

One last thing: Make sure you can afford to bring it to the vet in case it gets sick. I have seen many cases which the owners can't afford to bring them to the vet and as a result, the pets die.

    Good Luck!
your best bet is to get a golden and male. This type of hamster is the most friendly and easies to had train. They also seem to have a longer life span then the smaller ones plus the smaller ones tend to be mean and harder to handle. You also can get a teddy bear hamster male as well as female hamsters are a bit moody most of the time. You will want to get a cage with a plastic bottom and wire top not tank or more than one level. One that has a wheel in it as they run during the night. As far as food and stuff you want to get litter called care fresh as it all natural and will not cause the hamster any harm food you just have to try them and see what your hamster likes best, treats are good as well yogurt keeps them healthy and dog bisits help the trim their teeth as they grow and can be very painful if they get too large. names

    Rascal

    Tiny

Two Egg as they are the size of two eggs

    Little Guy

    Spunky

    Hammy

it really depends on his personality if you need more info email me at xsitehim39 at yahoo.com
~Buy it a large cage and lot's of toys

~Change bedding (I recommend Carefresh, Aspen, or Soft Sorbent) once every week

~Hamsters hate when they have to live with another hamster so to be safe, buy just one.

~Feed it carrots, fresh fruit (not citrus), hamster snacks, and normal hamster food.

~Play with him every day for atleast 15 minutes

I think Chip is a really cute name!! Name him that lol=) Good luck
I have found that a very young female hamster makes the best pet. They are sweet and gentle. I would only get one though.

Always scoop the hamster up with both hands. Be careful not to let them escape from a height. They don't know not to fall from high places and this can really hurt them.

It is fun to give them treats of cheerios when they are bigger. They will stuff them in their cheek pouches and then bury them later in their cages.

I have always enjoyed hamsters. Be sure you give them a wheel and they will like kleenex that they can shred into a bed.
from my experience females are friendlier especially if they are older and not babies, go to a small pet store that keeps only one hamster to a cage, hamsters are loners, if you go to a large pet store that has many hamsters your chances of getting a mean ,scared hamster are greater, we have 3 hamsters and 4 rats (((good luck)))
Wow! I know this can be a VERY exciting time for you! Anyway, you'll need to but a water bottle, cage,(I recommened aquariam) Also their ball, wheel, and their food :) They also like sand baths, like chinchilla baths. I really hope this helped
exciting i know how you feel i own two gerbils well anyways you will need a water bottle a wheel no holes though a ball some food with 15% protien no pine or cedar bedding get care fresh ar aspen good luck
dont get 2 syrians, they eat each other! you should get 2 dwarfs called Chip and Cosmic Creepers!
if you get 2 hamsters don't put your hamsters together they might fight and eat each other
Hi there, I'd recommend roborovski hamsters. They live well in pairs or small groups if from the same litter. We had 4 boys and now we have 2 girls. The pet experts claim that roborvski's aren't very happy at being handled but from my experience, all you need is some patience, the same as with any hamster. A bonus with them is that as they are so small, they can't bite hard. I was bitten by my friend's syrian once and I still have a scar but rob's are so small that they can't get a proper hold.

If you go for ones that like to be kept in groups, I'd recommend getting 3 as if you have a pair and one passes away, the other is going to become lonely.

Here's an excerpt from an answer I wrote about 8 month ago on how I got my girls to become tame enough to walk on my hand and allow themselves to be petted:

To begin with, I put a few treats on my hand and let them smell the treats. I didn't move my hand away and gradually they became used to my hand being there. One was more bold than the other and climbed onto my hand, grabbed a seed and ran off. This emboldened the other who also took a seed. They kept scurrying back and forth til all the seeds were gone. Next day I did the same except I put the seeds right back on my hand so they had to step properly onto my hand. After about a week, they started staying on my hand to eat and a while after that, I was able to start stroking them. Now they run out at the sight of my hand and climb all over it!

Now the sound of me opening their cage causes them to come running over to the door and they love climbing onto my hand.

For food, they eat dry hamster food that you can get at most shops and they like some fruits. Mine love dried banana chips, fresh apple (but not the skin) and almost all sorts of seeds. Don't give huge amounts of seeds though as you don't want your little bundles of fluff turning into fat bundles of fluff lol. With fresh food, it's impotant to remember to remove it after 20 minutes of so as it starts to go off.

Another thing I'd recommend you do is start saving your toilet roll tubes as they love to play hide and seek in them. I change them weekly and they can safely chew them, run through them and use them as your toilet(which mine usually do for the wees but sadly not the poos)

Name wise, I called my boys after the characters in Lost-there was Locke, Sayid, Desmond and Hurley(because he was the roundest) and we've never got round to naming the girls, even though they had their first birthday a couple of months ago, so they're either referred to as the girls or ladies... Hope this helps and enjoy your hammies!

Tips/advice for caring of herbs? :)?

I'm a beginning gardener. Just bought some herbs (11, in little containers) which I have been watering daily in the morning, leaving them in a spot that gets mostly sun and a little shade throughout the day, and am about to transport to larger pots. My dill and my cilantro now look wilty and brown; the other herbs look okay. Does anyone have any tips or advice for me on how to care for them properly? Thanks! :)Tips/advice for caring of herbs? :)?
most plants will have care directions on their tags but in general don't water them too much as this can kill them.Different herbs like differnt conditons but the open sunny spot sounds like a great start. As a rule if the soil is cool to the touch then it is still holding enough water for your plants.Your pots should have soil that allows the water to drain through rather easily as well cause this helps the roots grow healthy. (Healthy roots means healthy plants.) Hope i was some use to you.Tips/advice for caring of herbs? :)?
Most plant starts people buy are already too big for their pots. My advice is to transplant them to larger pots or into the ground as soon as possible. Good sized pots should lead to significant improvement. It is possible that you might have watered too much. Every day is a lot for some plants, and this may have been the problem with the cilantro. Depending on heat and pot size, most plants need water every 2-3 days in hot weather/small pots. Water when the surface soil is dry. Cilantro likes cool weather so if it is still really hot where you live, try putting where it gets some shade to keep it cool. Many times people buy plant starts that have overgrown their pots and been overly fertilized and then blame themselves when the plants start to look bad or die. My advice for future plant purchases is to only buy healthy looking plants that you can transplant into a bigger pot that same day.
im me please i have your answers
Feed them plant food, make sure they are not getting to much sun or water.Maybe the soil isn't good enough for them.check carefully, they might have root rot or something may be eating it's roots. make sure there are no chemicals in the soil.look after them really carefully when they're young,it will help them grow big and strong when they are older.once they are about 2 yrs old u can worry about them less and get on with life.

    good luck saving the planet!

I have got an interview as a learning support assistant in a secondary school, any tips/advice?

Learning support is a very large and open-ended path. Do you know if it is in special education, attachment to a single student who is physically or emotionally challenged or just a person who does whatever is needed that day - substitute teacher, library aide, office fill-in? In any case, you need to be a people person and have the ability to adapt quickly as the needs arise. You might just have to manage students who need to fulfill computer-assisted review and reteaching for those who are not on the correct level and/or stage. Whatever the job, you need to be flexible and like people. Too many people who have jobs like this find out they are not suited to the task and they do not enjoy the work and the people around them do not benefit from their being there. If you have previous experience with students, special education, family or friends you have aided during illness or emotional problems; tell the interviewer your background as it relates to the job offered and assess your fit with the job as s/he does the same in the interview.I have got an interview as a learning support assistant in a secondary school, any tips/advice?
I would note down any previous experience that you may have, this is a big part of being successful now, degrees and qualifications come after this big experience factor. I am a qualified early years practitioner and I cannot get a job at the mo because of experience factors.

Keep ur head up, be confident and note down all you know.!I have got an interview as a learning support assistant in a secondary school, any tips/advice?
I'm a secondary student and i strongly recomend not to be a pushover : first impressions are vital and when we first meet a teacher and they don't actually tell you off because they're too nervous and wanna make a good impression we tend to take advantage. you will gain much more respect if you stay strong and tell the kids straight. =]
as with any interview try not to let nerves get 2 u be urself i know uve probably heard this a thousand times but its always been the best advice ive ever been given good luck
Seriously; don't do it. The government adverts hype up the good side.

How not to get scared or attract any monsters to you?

    Any other advice?

I'm going Friday or Saturday.Any tips or advice for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando?
The only advice I can give is don't scream or run away from the monsters! Easier said than done though, if you scream and run they will follow you, but if you stand there they will find someone else to scare. The monsters are not allowed to touch you and all you have to remember is that there only cast members dressed up! Happy Halloween and don't get to scared !!!Any tips or advice for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando?
dont run away. and when your in the haunted houses dont leave a gap and stay close to the person infront of you.

I am trying to switch to organic food any advice or tips on doing that?

Like what foods should I still buy that are conventional foods or what foods I should absolutely buy organicaly.I am trying to switch to organic food any advice or tips on doing that?
Do a search on google in your country, as some foods are sprayed heavier than others.

    For example this website:

    http://www.foodnews.org/

Things like celery, strawberries, spinach are heavily sprayed, so as a result, I always buy these organic.

So try to buy certified organic or certified biodynamic for the heavily sprayed fruit and veggies.

And conventional for all the rest.

However, if you can afford 100% organic and have access to it on a regular basis, then go for 100%.

You will have to experiment with your own personal tastes (i.e.) I absolutely hate the taste of conventional avocados BUT I absolutely love the taste of organic avocados. So you may find things that you must have organic no-matter-what!

    http://www.macrowholefoods.com.au/news.p鈥?/a>

Are you able to grow things in your garden at home, or even in pots on your balcony? Organic wheatgrass is easy to grow at home. Organic chickpeas are easy to sprout at home. Potatoes and pumpkins are easy and cheap to grow organically at home, so are herbs and tomatoes. And these will help to supplement your diet and be cheaper sources of food.

When buying organic dried food, just check the sugar content. Just because something is organic, it may still be packed with organic sugar and so may not be classed as healthy.

When buying organic ALWAYS make sure you are buying certified produce. Many companies (especially in the cosmetic industry) proclaim ';organic'; on the label but the product is anything but.

    http://www.australianorganic.com.au/inde鈥?/a>

Also check out organic wholesalers, some will sell to the public if you buy in bulk. You could always set up a community co-op, so you can buy in bulk cheaply and share it with neighbours / family in the co-op.

.I am trying to switch to organic food any advice or tips on doing that?
Whole Foods Grocery stores are amazing. Everything is organic and oh so tasty...they even have organic gummy bears that are so amazing! I'm not sure where you're from but they're quite common around the Washington DC area. However, buying organic is generally a lot more expensive. One example I can think of is bananas normally they're like $1.32 at Costco for a bunch (8), but at Whole Foods I've paid around 99 cents/lb.

For my hubby and I, were mainly buy organic produce and milk. However, when we start having kids, we plan on going all organic for them.

    Good luck!
you should buy all organic but if you are just starting out, try to buy all your fruits and veggies organic. basically, the thinner the skin (tomatoes, peaches, nectarines, berries) is a def organic purchase. thicker (watermelon, oranges) don't necessarily have to be. this is due to pestiside absorption and what not.
I assume you're talking about produce. The conventional items most to be avoided are the ones with the thinnest skins, and ones where the skin will be eaten: berries, apples, peaches, pears, plums, tomatoes, etc. since pesticides soak through the skins and into the flesh.
Amongst some other suggestions here: grow your own! Even if you're limited on space, there is still produce that you can grow in window boxes and the like. And you can do so without using any chemicals, pesticides and the like. Worth looking into.

Has anyone ever tried growing celery in a container on a patio? Any advice or tips?

Do you remember when we used to get decent celery that was properly blanched, not stringy and had lots of flavour? I hope to be moving to Spain soon and plan to grow some vegetables/salad stuff/ herbs, etc. on the patio. I want to grow some celery but I will only have a patio so it will have to be container grown. Does anyone have any advice/ideas on this?Has anyone ever tried growing celery in a container on a patio? Any advice or tips?
I live in an apartment complex and a lot of people are growing veggies on their balconies and patio areas. I live in southern California so the growing season is all year long.

I see most of the plants being grown in window boxes. Some, like carrots in 5 gallon plastic pails with drain holes. Some are growing tomatoes upside down from hanging pots. Celery does grow well in window boxes. The herbs are grown in their own individual pots an balcony ledges. Go for it! Good luck.Has anyone ever tried growing celery in a container on a patio? Any advice or tips?
We are growing it in cut up pieces of drainpipe at the moment and it is going great guns-never grown it before so can't wait to eat it! Good luck with your move.
I read somewhere that you can pretty much grow anything in a container. We grew carrots in containers. They say the mini type of veggies are best though. Maybe check out hgtv.com for some more tips. Good luck!

Me & my partner have been ttc for 10 months and still nothing is happening, does any1 have any tips or advice?

I take pre-natal vitamins and my partner takes a few vitamins too, we have sex more when I am ovulating but 10 mths of nothing is frustrating! Please help us!!Me %26amp; my partner have been ttc for 10 months and still nothing is happening, does any1 have any tips or advice?
At 10 months, you are just at the time where maybe you should start looking for help. If you know when you are ovulating, then you have probably taken the early steps of charting and temping, etc.

The first step to see a fertility specialist is scary, and was hard for me because it looked like such a long road ahead. But I finally went late last year. I had a doctor who tried Clomid with me for 4 months, then gave up completely. I moved on, found a better, very respected specialist- and waited on his waiting list 4 months to see him.

If you told me when I first went in that it would take a year to sort things out, I would have been devastated. But at the same time, if you told me that within a year I would be pregnant, I would have been excited. Its hard yet encouraging to take that first step- you will suddenly have hope, but be frustrated that it may not happen the first time.

When you are TTC, you want it to happen right now. Not later.

I would get in to a specialist as soon as you could. You may not even need help- it may be a simple issue of timing or something. If you do need more help, don't let yourself get down. It can turn into a cycle of hope and optimism mixed in with despair and frustration.Me %26amp; my partner have been ttc for 10 months and still nothing is happening, does any1 have any tips or advice?
Have you had a pre-pregnancy screening? It really is a great idea to call up your ob or gyn and get one. It helps you to know what you are up against from the get go. 10 months of ttc with no results to me says you could use a little assistance. Clomid is a great easy drug to help you to ovulate if you are not. A great tip is progesterone suppositories once you ovulate to hopefully keep the egg to stick and not miscarry. Good luck. Good tip by other answer that I agree with 100% is have sex every other day. Calculate your dates and why not invest in ovulations strips. DONT forget to have fun!
what I would recommend is that just having sex more is not sufficient. My gyno suggested we have it every alternate day and everday when I am towards the middle of the cycle. This way, me maximize chances of making a baby as each cycle is different.

Next what you can do is consult with your gyno as to what are the next steps you can take to get pregnant faster.

Since my cycles were irregular, my gyno recommended me to get on Clomid(to induce ovulation) and Prometrium(to induce periods when -ve pregnancy test).

I got pregnant right away but ended up in ectopic... now will again start with clomid soon.

So, tell your situation exactly to your gyno and she will be able to recommend something beneficial to you from her experience.
