What is the Go San Diego card? And can you give me some tips, and advice about vacationing in San Diego?

Traveling to San Diego in a little over a week with husband and kids ranging from 4-12, would love some advice about the Go San Diego card and some insight about things to do and places to eat...keeping in mind that this is a family vacation. Thanks in advance! What is the Go San Diego card? And can you give me some tips, and advice about vacationing in San Diego?
I too have enver heard of this so I went to look it up. You know, to me,,it looks pricey and when you look at whaat it offers, I don't see the advantage. Sure, you might save 10.00 on major attractions, but the card itself is about 50 per day and you would spend more than that in gas just to get everywhere it offers discounts to take advantage of it and you couldnt in one day and actually enjoy yourself.

There is much to do in san diego, Seaport Village, Coronado Beach, Old Town, Balboa Park all of which costs next to nothing to spend the day You absolutely cannot visit and pass up the Zoo. I live here and it is the one place I never allow company to miss seeing. There is a water park in Chula Vista. Legoland up north in Oceanside and Sea World. the Wild Animal Park (its a bit of a drive to get to) but they are not cheap..If I am not mistaken you can guess on spending about fifty dollars a person or slightly more for those attractions but they do take up an entire day so it is all in how you look at it.

I forgot to mention Belmont Park with the roller coaster in Mission Beach. Another great way to spend a dayl

good luck and have fun.. it's a great city and county. Not to many places where you can go from the beach to the mountains and the desert within an hours drive.

Well the Go San Diego card is a card that basically you pay for and it gets you into a bunch of different great family places! It's way cheaper to do it that way because a lot of the places out here can be expensive! I highly recommend you go ahead and purchase that instead of paying way more at the parks themselves. And try to hit every place you can because everything it has to offer is well worth going to. If you want to see a bunch of different family fun things to do out here you can check out my San Diego blog I write about a lot of great places and most of what I write about is family oriented since I have a daughter and anywhere we go she's always with us! Check it out and I really hope that helps!

I LIVE IN SAN DIEGO! I've never heard of the ';Go San Diego card,'; but I can totally give suggestions of places to visit.

They don't call it ';The World Famous San Diego Zoo'; for nothing.

Sea World

Balboa park -- there are tons of museums, exhibits, etc.

Belmont Park -- It's sort of a small amusement park by the beach

Sea Port Village -- It's right by the ocean and has tons of fun little shops and restaurants

Have a great time!

PS: The link below has tons of suggestions as well!
