remeber your not justraining your body your also training your mind; to go further, get stronger, fight hard and work hard! its a lifestyle at first a little painful and it takes getting used to but youll feel like james bond one day im telling you. welcome to the world of gentlemenWhat advice and tips can you give for me to prepare for kickboxing?
it depends on what you want to achive

if you want to be the best

you have to train longer and harder and more intelligently than anyone else

there is no preperation like actually sparring, with at least some contact

but work out what your strengths are

and strengthen them

work out what your weaknesses are and work on them

hone your tools

develop your tactics

know your body and what it can do and what it cant do

and work out how to get it to do what it cant do

develop your check kicks especially

learn how to control your opponents rythem and force

develop your speed above all else

but also work on conditioning your body to take hits, shins especially are of note

you have to be able to take a hit and immediatedly counter with full strength

the best time to hit someone is when they are committed to a hit on you
