I am looking to teach english in Asia, has anyone got any advice or tips?

I am particularly interested in South Korea. Also there are many websites offering information, does anyone know any good ones that can be trusted?I am looking to teach english in Asia, has anyone got any advice or tips?
If your interested in Thailand the website to use is http://www.ajarn.comI am looking to teach english in Asia, has anyone got any advice or tips?
I am currently in China teaching...only been here for 4 months, and its great. People here are very friendly, the staff at the school go out of their way to assist us, and there are many other foreigners around. I did not know the language when i got here, but have since learned a few words, it helps, but its not totally necessary, if you have locals who can write down addresses for you! The teaching side of things i have found pretty easy so far, if you havent done it before, it takes about a week or so until you are relatively comfortable in front of the kids, and a couple months to remember all their names!

Im not sure how similar china is to south korea, but i did have a friend who worked over there, she said it was great, she had a big apartment, and made quite a lot of money.

daves esl cafe is a good site on the internet, there are also many agents you can go through....i got my job through an agent over the internet, and all was good, however other people have been lied to, and werent as lucky as i was. although i wouldnt pay someone to find a job for me teaching, rather go online.
There's loads of information and jobs to apply for on eslcafe.com. Check the forums there, people give honest advice and reviews of various schools. If you've never taught English before then I would say to go with one of the well-known schools because they will at least get you up and running. A lot of people make fun of the big schools and you won't make as much money there, but it's a good place to start and you can always move on once you have some experience.

oh and people saying to learn the language. You really should because it will help you connect with your students and help your life run more smoothly. But some people live in Korea for years without knowing more than a few words of Korean. Don't let that put you off, you don't need to be fluent in another language to teach English overseas.
Sorry can't hep U... But U can contact one of my friends VK... He use to work in S. Korea in teaching... He may able to advise U... here is his Y!360 Profile...

There are needs for english teachers in Taiwan, you could try it since there are many foreigners who teaches english there. You could apply for a student visa there for learning Chinese Mandarin then teach English on your free time.
Visit the country and find out for yourself. You will have actual experience by doing so, and no amount of learning could compensate for an actual visit. Go for it.
Learn the language they speak, or you'll get left out
Learn asian, it will help.

and bring me back a wife ;) pls
