Any final tips an advice for the Dublin City Marathon?

I'm running the Dublin city Marathon on Monday. Its my first Marathon so I'm kinda nervous. Can you give me some advice on what to do the days leading up to the run. What to eat, what to wear on the day etc. All your comments will really help! How long will I be sore for the days after. Thanks again.....Any final tips an advice for the Dublin City Marathon?
Relax, you can not improve your conditioning, now so don't don any extra work.

I like to keep moving, some people like to take off at least one day, but I like to get out and run easy for about 10 minutes and stretch, it makes me feel better.

You can eat pasta or carbohydrates the night before, but don't stuff yourself, just eat a normal light dinner.

Don't eat meat or dairy.

Wear some layers a light hat and gloves, if it is cool, once you get moving you will feel 40 degrees warmer than just standing around and you can take off the extra clothes.

Drink plenty of water, you can get dehydrated before you are thirst.

Run an even pace, don't go out too fast. If you need to walk for a few minutes do so, then run again when you feel like it.

You may be sore for a few days, get up the next morning and move around. You could run for a couple of easy miles to get the kinks out, and stretch easy.

After the race have a protein meal, and if you drink have a couple of beers.Any final tips an advice for the Dublin City Marathon?
You should already know what you are eating, you should have been doing this for the past 3 months finding what works best for you. The same with your clothing.

Short 2-3 miles very easy runs until Wed/Thursday - and maybe 10xstrides on Sat am, just to keep you loose.

Sore - everyone is different, but rest for at least a week after. Do some running the following week, run a 5k in about 6 weeks - do some light speed work for it, you will do a PB.

Have fun :)
Just wanted to say good luck and have fun. No need to be nervous. Everybody there will be cheering for everybody...including you.

Don't give up, you will make it!
