how do we not loose our old friends.... in what ways do we sometimes push people away without realising it?

Keeping long term friends may be hard. You've got to consider that as you move on in life, you meet new people. So it's unlikely that you're going to keep all your school/college friends long term. There may be 1 or 2 which you keep in contact with, but the others may fade away. You'll know who you want as your long term friends. The ones which don't just rely on you to contact them but they also do their part.

the way to keep them is well you will move on in life and meet others and to keep friends you would like to keep is to stay in contact with them and never leave their side completly trust me ive thought of this before as well
