Can I please have your advice/suggestions/tips on the subject of removing Explorer from my laptop?

I have used Firefox for a year now and find that Explorer is a complete, interfering, slow and often confusing browser. Firefox, by comparison, is intelligent and nearly always useful. Can I be doing anything wrong if I simply delete Explorer where and when it pops up its ugly face, usually uninvited? Can I please have your advice/suggestions/tips on the subject of removing Explorer from my laptop?
If I'm not wrong then I understand that you like Firefox and don't need Internet Explorer. Well if that's the case then why not make Firefox the default browser.

Here's how to do it:

1. Open Firefox

2. Go to Tools %26gt; Options

3. Look Under Advanced tab

4. Go to General tab

5. Check whether Firefox is the default browser or not.

6. If it's not then it'll prompt you to do so.

This way Internet Explorer will never interfere with Firefox and you don't need to delete it.

Hope this helps........Can I please have your advice/suggestions/tips on the subject of removing Explorer from my laptop?
Its no problem to delete IE if you dont want it on your computer but I would not recommend it.

Simply for the fact that it is always a good idea to have at least 2 browsers on your computer, you never know when you will run into a site that just doesnt agree or work on the browser you are using.

It is kinda rare these days but it still does happen so its a good idea to have IE as a backup browser in those cases.

Now if IE is simply popping up ';uninvited'; then your problem is probably not with IE but something going on with your computer or maybe the user is having issues with settings on the comp.
A more friendly way of deleting IE is removing it as a system component. To do this:

Go to Control Panel, and then Add/Remove Programs.

Once the list has populated, click on the button on the left side that says add/remove windows components. It might take a while to load. When it has, you should get a new window with a list in it. You can uncheck the box next to Internet Explorer and proceed to delete it.
You can't completely remove Internet Explorer. It is built-in to the Windows operating system. So the only way to remove it is to remove Windows.

However, if you check Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, you should see an option on the right hand side that will allow you to specify the default application for internet browsing. Just select an alternative browser and IE should bother a little less than before.
You can't completely remove it but you can nearly completely remove it by downloading a piece of software by the name of 'xplite'. However if you use Firefox all the time then Internet Explorer should not be being used and therefore, why is it in the way?
you can remove the app but you cannot remove the core files as they are needed by windows update
