Have you thought this out clearly? You need to make sure you find a good trucking school. What I mean by a good trucking school is that there has to be a lot of instructional time and behind the wheel time, so you can get the full experience. Truckers are on the road for a long period of time.Sometimes you might not even be able to find a place to sleep because rest areas are full and truck stops are full. You cannot pull over on the side of the road and sleep either, or else you will get a ticket. Truckers do get to see the country, but they are away from family for long periods of time. You do get paid pretty decently. To find out more tips, ask a truck driver, who has been driving for a long time. DO NOT go to trucking schools that say you will be trained in one week's time. The longer the schooling the better. But ask a trucker first. I did, and he changed my mind about wanting to become a trucker. Make sure you find a decent program, maybe by going to the library.
