Hi I can help you with tips and advice. I auditioned for Laguardia for vocal I got rejected though but I can definetly tell you what to expect first there might be alot of people there trust me, your gonna be waiting there around 2 mostly 3 - 5 hours just so you can audition, IT IS NOT EASY! But lets say your audition is around 7:30 trust me get there at 7:30 the earlier you get there the earlier you get to audition and start, First your gonna wait a little while depends how early you get there so you wait a little while and someone will come down and take you up the escalators then you fill out this blue paper asking you your name and your schools address? and why you wanna go to the school blah blah blah etc. then after you wait this is probably the hardest part you wait and wait till they call your name, when they call your name you go in the room try to be your self as much as you can dont show them your nervous and dont look down cause i did the exact opposite and i didnt get in, so show them you and your gonna preform 2 1 minute monologues (lines from a play that last for 1 minute involving only one character) make sure you choose someone around your age, youtube has some good videos on how to develop acting skills, heres the requirements for the DRAMA STUDIO i got directly from the site :

AND HERE ARE THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE DRAMA AUDITIONS:
FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions -- Drama
Q: What is required for the audition?
A: Prepare performances of 2 one-minute monologues. They should be contrasting prose pieces (not verse or classical works such as Shakespeare or Moliere) from published plays or monologue books. The characters you are portraying should be young 鈥?close to your own age. Avoid playing characters with obvious physical or speech characteristics very different from your own.
Q: Can I prepare something I鈥檝e written myself or something that is not from a play?
A: No. Do not select pieces that you have written yourself or passages from novels, short stories, or poems. In addition, we suggest staying away from screenplays.
Q: How should I dress?
A: Wear something comfortable that you can move in. Avoid jewelry and costumes. It is you that we are interested in seeing.
Q: Where can I find and/or purchase suggested plays or monologue books?
A: In addition to the Lincoln Center Performing Arts Library (with an entrance across the street from our school on Amsterdam Ave.) You can also find suitable plays and monologue books at the following bookstores:
Drama Book Shop (250 W 40th St., between 7th and 8th Avenues) 212-944-0595
you can also find some of the monologues on the internet
